"Northern Lites" as written by Huw Bunford, Cian Ciaran, Dafydd Ieuan, Guto Pryce and Gruff Rhys....
Born in a manger.
Your getting stranger everyday.
Uncertain chancer.
Your sending everything astray.
Your certain danger.
Your a monsoon and fire all in one.
Got me on the run.

There's a distant light.
A forest fire burning everything insight.
Easy flight.
We pick it up in space with survey satellite.
Survey satellite looking at you.
Your turning every modern theory on it's head.
Leaving me for dead.

Your so demanding.
You've got me fumbling for escape.
I'm understanding.
But I'm afraid it's all too late.
To find a meaning.
Your blowing everything away.
From coast to coast.
Got me much too close.

There's a distant light.
A forest fire burning everything insight.
Easy flight.
We pick it up in space with survey satellite.
Survey satellite looking at you.
Your turning every modern theory on it's head.
Leaving me for dead.

Don't worry me or hurry me.
Blow me far away to the northern lites.
Abandon me, abandon me.
Blow me far away, blow me far away to the northern lites.

General CommentActually, I've heard several times that this song is about global warming. Or El Ninio. I forget which.

General Commentexcellent indeed. i think it's about being so crazy about someone, you want them to kick you into touch almost as much as you want to be with them because you know that they could hurt you.

General CommentI think this song is about somebody who refers to themself as perfect
    "Born in a manger"
but who is actually completely insane and strange, but being completely attracted to that person despite the fact they are so different.

General CommentI think it is about someone who actually *was* born in a manger -- or said to be born there -- and that's God. And it's about how God or the universe or nature (I doubt it matters much from the perspective of SFA) is now destroying everything on earth through global warming, fires, and lots of other Ten Plague-like calamities. Very pleasant music to go with such destructive lyrics.

General Commenti love the bit in:
    Got me on the run
    There's a distant light
    (Distant light)
A forest fire burning everything in sight
    (Easy fight)
We pick it up in space with survey satellite
    (Survey satellite, looking at you)
    You're turning every modern theory
    On its head
    (Survey satellite, looking at you)
    Leaving me for dead

when it goes all cheezy and happy even though he is kinda singing:

A forest fire burning everything in sight

its a welsh thing that they can all seem to make something so..........un cheery, sound so nice and floaty!!!!!

i dont mean to be racist when i say its a welsh thing

    but it is

    LOL

    (:

General CommentIt's about El Nino. Developing in the Gulf Of Mexico (born in a manger), growing in strength and then wreaking havoc to world weather

    Born in a manger.
    You're getting stranger everyday.
    Uncertain chancer.
    Your sending everything astray.
    Your certain danger.
Your a monsoon and fire all in one.
    Got me on the run.
