I spend my time sitting on the fence with a mate of mine
Trying to write the line of a story
We belive that everything said is a waste of time
Cos life is well tried and it bores me
Yeah yeah yeah

In my well paid opinion
These things they really don't matter
But from my crystal gazing eye
There shines a light, like dynamite

Sitting on a throne will give a bad back to you
Living on my own was like a flashback
To the days when I was lost and lonely
Saying what I said was just a different story
All your lies well they still bore me
There's nothing wrong with my world
And these things they really don't matter now

I spend my time sitting on the fence with a mate of mine
I'm trying to write the line of a story
We belive that everything said is a waste of time
Cos life is well tried and it bores me
Yeah yeah yeah

In my well paid opinion
These things they really don't matter
But from my crystal gazing eye
There shines a light, like dynamite

Sitting on a throne will give a bad back to you
Living on my own was like a flashback
To the days when I was lost and lonely
Saying what I said was just a different story
All your lies well they still bore me
There's nothing wrong with my world
And these things they really don't matter
These things they really don't matter now
x2

Don't matter now x9

General CommentI remember loving this song so much some years ago. It's simple indeed, but to me it carries such a bittersweet tone...Noel, being older, talking about his "flashbax" to his past. It would make me weep recalling my own youth days, when I would be just sitting anywhere with my friends and just enjoying our presence without so much to worry about. Now those days are over and each of us has gone our way, but those days remain so precious in my life. So often I have my own flashbacks. And the most hurting thing of all, knowing and being totally aware that those moments will never ever go back.

General CommentThis is an awesome Oasis b-side, can't believe no one's commented on this one yet...for sure one of my favorite Oasis songs...for some reason it reminds me a bit of The Masterplan.

General CommentLove this song. BHN-era Oasis is my favorite, and this is a great b-side from the All Around The World single.
