"Hard Luck Woman" as written by and Paul Stanley....
If never I met you
I'd never have seen you cry
If not for our first "Hello"
We'd never have to say goodbye

If never I held you
My feeling's would never show
It's time I start walkin'
But there's so much you'll never know

I keep telling you hard luck woman
You ain't a hard luck woman

Rags, the sailor's only daughter
A child of the water
Too proud to be a queen

Rags, I really love ya
I can't forget about ya
You'll be a hard luck woman
Baby, till you find your man

Before I go let me kiss you
And wipe the tears from your eyes
I don't want to hurt you, girl
You know I could never lie

I keep telling you hard luck woman
You ain't a hard luck woman
You'll be a hard luck woman
Baby, till you find your man

Rags, the sailor's only daughter
A child of the water
Too proud to be a queen

Rags, I really love ya
I can't forget about ya
You'll be a hard luck woman
Baby, till you find your man
You'll be a hard luck woman
Baby, till you find your man

Oh yeah, bye bye, so long, don't cry
I'm just packin' my bags, whoa, leavin' you
Bye bye, bye bye, bye bye, baby, don't cry
I gotta keep on movin', yeah movin'
Bye, bye my baby
Ooh, don't cry, lady, oh

General CommentI think it is about a woman who is quite hard to conquer. This man wants her to fall in love with him but he cant! So she his a hard luck woman

General CommentI think/am pretty sure, that this song is about a girl who thinks she can always do better. The line "Too proud to be a queen" just shows that she won't settle for someone who treats her like a queen because she thinks she is better than that... Gene Simmons, is obviously a guy who is with her and is leaving her because he knows that she thinks she can do better even though he is a great guy and right there... The verse "You ain't a hard luck woman, you'll be a hard luck women, baby till you find your man" just shows that she wouldn't have trouble finding the right man if she didn't hold herself so far above others... I think his implication here is that she won't find her man because she is picking at the flaws of everyone and expects perfection in a man...which isn't coming... Come to think of it this songs reminds me of someone I knew....grr....

General CommentThis song was written by Paul Stanley for Rod Stewart, but RS had no intentions of recording it.

Personally, it;s Rock and Roll, theres no deep meanings here, Kiss are amazing and their songs are just good lyrics to good music...

General CommentLike Unbelievable said, it was written by Paul Stanley for Rod Stewart. Paul got Peter Criss to sing it though to keep that rough kinda Rod Stewart-ish voice to it.

General CommentI would have loved to hear Rod Stewart sing this song. Although Criss does a pretty good job, and I really don't like most of the songs he sings.
