"Black Diamond" as written by and Paul Stanley....
Out on the street for a living
Picture's only begun
Got you under their thumb
Hit it

Out on the streets for a living
Picture's only begun
Your day is sorrow and madness
Got you under their thumb

Whoo, black diamond
Whoo, black diamond

Darkness will fall on the city
It seems to follow you too
And though you don't ask for pity
There's nothin' that you can do, no, no

Whoo, black diamond
Whoo, black diamond

Out on the streets for a living
Picture's only begun
Your day is sorrow and madness
Got you under their thumb

Whoo, black diamond, yeah
Whoo, black diamond

General CommentBlack Diamond was written by Paul Stanley of KISS, and Performed by Peter Criss, although the first line is sung by Paul. Anyways, this song is written about Street hookers that paul often saw around New York City during the 1970's. in which, there are all the street hookers, but the one sort of, Queen of them all, is the 'Black Diamond'

General CommentI'm afraid i dont quite see what the obvious reasons are... And Gene Simmons is amazing, if jsut a bit of a sell out.

General CommentI've never heard the studio version of this song, but I've heard it live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and it is VERY, VERY GOOD!!!! Probably the best song on that album.

General Commenti read in this book that it was their version of the rolling stones "brown sugar" except instead of it being some average whore it was the queen of whores

Song MeaningBlack Diamond is a marking on a small glassine or plastic envelope used to sell drugs on the street.
It is a branding symbol used by dealers. Each has his own mark. That way you can sort of tell
the expected quality of the product. If you liked the last black diamond envelope you know
what to expect and have a rough idea of the right dosage.

General CommentIt's taken me a few years but now I've finally realized how KISS is totally amazing. Although cowbellplz would even have to admit Gene Simmons is slightly more than "just a little but of a sell out" - he wrote the fucking book on it!

General CommentThis song is about life on the street and how people in a higher financial class have an advantage over you hence "Got You Under Their Thumbs" and how some might have to sell themselves to buy diner for their family really sad song but a great one, Peter Criss is an excellent performer
