In my dreams, I can see us in a tight embrace
Doin' all the things that we never really did
I think I'm in love with you

Must we go run through our lives with our eyes closed
To the loving happiness that we can share
I think I'm in love with you and your friend

Honest I do, I can't see you and me and her without each other
And I hope you feel the same way too (you and me and her)

I spend all my time on the telephone line
Tryin' to say it just right this time
Something that could change your mind
I know this is love and here before
Though I whisper somethin so sincere
Vaguely what you want to hear

Now you know the things that I say when I'm swimming
Through the flood of all my desire can be so unclear
But I know I'm in love with you

In my dreams I still see us in a tight embrace
In spite of all the things that people say when they stare
that's how I know I'm in love with you and your friend

Honest I do, I can't see you and me and her without each other
And I hope you feel the same way too
I think i'm in love with you

I spend all my time on the telephone line
Tryin' to say it just right this time
Something that could change your mind

I know this is love and the feeling fair
Though I whisper somethin so sincere
Exactly what you want to hear

Honest I do, I can't see you and me and her without each other
And I hope you feel the same way too

I think I'm in love with you (you and me and her)
I hope you feel the same way too
I think I'm in love with you (you and me and her)
I hope you feel the same way too
I hope that you can feel the same way too

i believe this song is about a group of three friends (2 girls and a guy) who spend all their time together. the two girls (who are best friends) are falling in love with this man.. and cant stop themselves. by the time that one of them figures it out. its too late. one of the girls gets the guy.. and the one who loves him the most is left alone.

i always figured that it was the girl and the guy were already together, and she wanted to be with both of them. there isn't really any 'alone' part in the song. and she says 'i think i'm in love with you ...and your friend'. but then she said for the video that she was going to be in a bed with THREE girls, so i don't know.

Call me a lesbian, but I always pictured this as 3 CHICKS. I think it is about a girl who meets another girl and falls in love with the other girl and her friend...she wants to tell them but can't quite get the words.

I took this to be about 2 chicks n a guy, the person tellin the story is a chick who is trying to convince the guy that this is right for the three of them to be in a relationship, and he's just not into it, they have to convince him, that's bout all i could muster up, thanks for reading, bye - <{{><

i always thought of it as three girls...that the singer becomes friends with these two girls that are friends, and falls for both of them, and well...wants to get with both of them. at the same time. goooood mental pictures.

It was written by Jason Slater, a guy, so . . . . Make of that what you will.

This is a song about a girl who likes a guy who likes another girl. Basically, she wants to share the guy (like a polyamorous relationship.) Erm, that is all. CHOW! And don't touch the sushi.

All three of them are really good friends obviously, but the speaker sounds like she's falling in love with the guy. Perhaps, also the guy likes his other friend but she's willing to abdicate any jealous feelings and perhaps be with them both, as she points out that she could see how badly things would turn out if all were not in the equasion. Three-somes can cure this (j/k). :P

This song sounds a lot like it's taking a romantic spin on three-some type relationships. That all three have an mutual understanding and an intimate relationship. It seems like the singer is hoping it all works out because it's just about to form.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
