"Fun Fun Fun" as written by Brian Douglas Wilson and Mike E. Love....
Well she got her daddy's car
And she cruised through the hamburger stand now
Seems she forgot all about the library
Like she told her old man now
And with the radio blasting
Goes cruising just as fast as she can now

And she'll have fun fun fun
'Til her daddy takes the T-bird away
(Fun fun fun 'til her daddy takes the T-bird away)

Well the girls can't stand her
'Cause she walks looks and drives like an ace now
(You walk like an ace now you walk like an ace)
She makes the Indy 500 look like a Roman chariot race now
(You look like an ace now you look like an ace)
A lotta guys try to catch her
But she leads them on a wild goose chase now
(You drive like an ace now you drive like an ace)

And she'll have fun fun fun
'Til her daddy takes the T-bird away
(Fun fun fun 'til her daddy takes the T-bird away)

Well you knew all along
That your dad was gettin' wise to you now
(You shouldn't have lied now you shouldn't have lied)
And since he took your set of keys
You've been thinking that your fun is all through now
(You shouldn't have lied now you shouldn't have lied)

But you can come along with me
'Cause we gotta a lot of things to do now
(You shouldn't have lied now you shouldn't have lied)

And we'll have fun fun fun now that daddy took the T-bird away
(Fun fun fun now that daddy took the T-bird away)
And we'll have fun fun fun now that daddy took the T-bird away
(Fun fun fun now that daddy took the T-bird away)
(Wo wo wo wo woo woo woo)
(Fun fun now that daddy took the T-bird away)
(Fun fun now that daddy took the T-bird away)
(Fun fun now that daddy took the T-bird away)
(Fun fun now that daddy took the T-bird away)
(Fun fun now that daddy took the T-bird away)
(Fun fun now that daddy took the T-bird away)

General CommentThis is one of the greatest songs ever, let alone one of the greatest Beach Boys songs. Everyone should have this in their collection along with a few other of the Beach Boys' best. There isn't one flaw in the whole thing from title to fade out.

General CommentThis song is SO ME!!
I am an all around hot rod girl and this song sounds just like me..
I had to sing it in a concert at school with my chourus and the song was stuck in my head so i decied to write all new lyrics, lets just say they are just as good as the beach boys lyrics
I am SUPER grateful that the beachboys wrote this song because if they didnt no one would believe that us hot rod girls were really here!!

General CommentThis song was writen in a few minutes and was all about Dennis, or rather a girl he was dating at the time. She was waiting for him in her T-bird outside the recording studio one afternoon and the rest of the guys watched them drive off together and apparently Mike Love, being completely jealous of Dennis said to the others in a spiteful way "she'll have fun until her daddy takes that t-bird away" and Brian being as switched on as her was back then immediately had the idea to write a song and the 4 beach boys who were left went straight back into the studio and punched this tune out within half an hour. Thats what I heard anyway - Maybe someone can clarify.

General CommentIt's about a fun girl having...well, fun! The song could be about a woman of any age, although those burdened by a societal mindset (a flawed mindset) believe only the young have fun and only those kept in the dark about life have fun. I personally know a chick who has fun dancing, laughing, getting a little drunk on margaritas, flirting, acting stupid and reckless, running into the men's room (need a better reason next time), and chasing all the cares in the world away. Age is relative, although for many inhibitions tend to disappear as one chronically ages and also becomes more financially stable. (No worries about mommy, daddy, and their money and expectations, etc.) The only difference is, unlike teens and their like, we keep our kinkiness, etc, a little more private and we tend to be more selective and loyal. As for the band, I never liked it, although the song is very catchy. I wonder if they've written a song about toes ;-) Happy Spring to everyone from a boring, drab, only good enough for the Internet guy!

General CommentGood song, but is it just me or does the opening riff sound almost EXACTLY the same as "Johnny B. Goode" by Chuck Berry?

General CommentI like the little Chuck Berry tribute in the intro. Strange that nobody has commented this song before.
Beach Boys was always good at singing in chords.

MemoryThis song is about a girl who lies about going to the library when she's actually cruising around in her dad's car.

I guess it kind of reminds me of getting my driver's license, driving with my friends all over the small but fun town I live in...The Beach Boys songs are mostly about California and I live in Wyoming but the same concept still applies:)
