Talking Heads – I Zimbra Lyrics

Sorry, you're quite wrong...and flyingrobot is quite right. It's a poem written by Hugo Ball. Where'd you get the idea that Eno wrote them? Too much Pabst, maybe?! |

Modest Mouse – Float On Lyrics
|
These arguments are stupid, just shut up, how does every freaking conversation about music that becomes popular devolve into one of these? Who cares if people feel violated because new people are jumping on the bandwagon? And who cares if the "just <3 the music" people don't like those people? And who cares if you're just jumping on the bandwagon?
Just umm....float on, or something. |

Radiohead – Myxomatosis. (Judge, Jury, & Executioner.) Lyrics
| 21 years ago

It's about how people twist your words around to mean something different...then losing the exact meaning that you intended. Or at least that's one of the themes. Thom said Myxomatosis isn't really related, he just liked the word. |

Modest Mouse – Gravity Rides Everything Lyrics

Haha, you can't assume everone's interpretation of a song is wrong just because science contradicts it. It's obvious Isaac Brock isn't praising gravity for it's benefit on the natural world. |

Modest Mouse – 3rd Planet Lyrics

I don't think he means the universe is literally the shape of the earth. Scientifically, the universe is thought of as probably not being a sphere, being that it would mostly likely collapse in that shape. What I think he meant is that the universe is shaped similarly to the earth in that as you can walk around the earth to find the same spot in which you began, the timeline of the universe will go on to come right back up to the spot in which it began. So it's comparing the shape of the earth to the cycles of the universe, timewise, that is.
That's my guess. |

The Smiths – Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me Lyrics

It's weird that anyone would deny that liking The Smiths or The Cure nowadays is trendy. Of course it is, not that that is why everyone likes them, it's just a truth. Nothing is wrong with liking them, but if you do, you're bound to be considered inevitably trendy. |

50 Cent – In Da Club Lyrics

What this is, is a debate between the people who like to think about what they're listening to and the people who prefer not to ponder most anything. You'll notice the much stronger, more developed argument coming from the "thinking" side, this is obviously because the "thinkers" like to think about the issue, while the non-thinkers prefer to mind their own business, dance around, use incorrect grammar, etc. I'm not saying one side is more correct than the other, considering the "thinkers" don't always think up the most interesting or well-developed thoughts. I think the "thinkers" should leave the "non-thinkers" alone. Oh, and I prefer not to address the people who like to think about music, yet listen to this kinda stuff on the side. |

Alkaline Trio – 5-3-10-4 Lyrics

Maybe he's looking back on his childhood, and by 5-3 eyes, he's referring to his height at the time. So he means from his adolescent eyes. Maybe?.... Just takin shots in the dark. Plus that wouldn't explain where 10-4 comes in.....whooo knows? |

I doubt it was meant to be taken that literally. But then again, I'm not trying to figure out exactly what it's about, so think what you'd like. |

"I can't love my business if i can't get a trick"
At least thats my take, I think it's fairly obvious. |

Weezer – Say It Ain't So Lyrics

I'm pretty sure this song is about his fater's drinking problems and his own tendency to follow in his dad's footsteps. I know there is more to it than that though, anyone got a better idea? |
