This song, I believe is about RIck Hansen. He is a Canadian who suffered a terrible accident and was rendered parlyzed from the waste down. He has 'wheeled' himself all over the world (over 40,000km) to raise money and awareness for spinal chord injuries. The song was written two years after Rick's Man In Motion tour began (1985). There are lines like "All I need is a pair of wheels" And "Growing Up, You Don't See The Writing On The Wall"

I heard on the radio this past summer. And I downloaded it. There is an album version and a radio version. Then i downloaded Neverending. AMAZING! Then Sleep Through This. I ended up loving the band so much, I bought the album. Great Band! Buy the cd. You won't be dissapointed.

Isn't Creed a Christian Band? It would appear then, that the 'friend' is referring to is God or Jesus. He hada crisis of faith, and returned to God. Kind of how a lot of people had after Sept 11th. |
