"The killer in me is the killer in you", if he really is talking about contemplating suicide then i think that line is saying how the reason he wants to is because of others ie. the killer in others, the bullying side has driver him to it.
I think the first line "disarm you with a smile" is a sort of "sticks and stones" type line, your words can't hurt me sort of thing

This song really is a very negative take on the love song, it seems like the first verse is about being in love with somebody and just being content with their company and nothing else, saying how she "lights up my life like a very last cigarette" but by the end its very different, he says "look at yourself, theres nothing in there".
it also seems like the line "I take it back yeah whatever I did yeah I didn’t mean it" is very mocking and throwaway, although ironic because its sung in such a serious way
I think its just a song about a relationship that isn't going anywhere and has left him frustrated and angry |

i think this is a really well written song in parts but in others its definitely lacking, lines like "and now shes back in the atmosphere with drops of jupiter in her hair" are great, but I'm not so sure about "the best soy latte you ever had....and me", i can see where he's going with it and all, but it doesnt really fit in. still the piano and orchestral work on the song works very well, and the singing is good. |
