um, one more thing as i was reading through this... my dad likes led zeplin and pink floyd too. not that he doesnt have good taste, its just you're trying to stake that as something unique, when i assure you, pink floyd and zepplin had their share of MTV and radio play as well. both of them have record deals, but both of them are still awesome. who cares if coheed and cambria are on MTV and who cares who isnt. if you dont like MTV, then fuck it and dont watch. i just dont think caliber of music can be determined by how many ppl know of "your" favorite band. talent is talent no matter how much MTV wants to ride it.
i didnt even know co&ca was on MTV, i stopped watching it awhile ago. so if fame bothers you so much, do the same.
no one is trying to steal anyone's favorite band and no one is going to be cooler by liking older school stuff. music is just an expression. express it however you want. |

this isnt my favorite song of his, but his voice gets ridiculously awesome in it. i think everyone who hates on Claudio cuz he doesnt look like a model should be brutally beaten and then shot. He is amazing.
and by the way, i dont think claudio is writing about columbine or sappy love songs. you need to read the story behind it all, and be enlightened.
basically coheed and cambria are parents to claudio and his brothers and sisters. claudio is injected with the "Monstar" serum (from a dragonfly, hence the dragonfly all over their albums... for those of you who support your "favorite" bands not just dl them off the internet) and kills all of his children but Claudio. cambria is also still alive (she is the mother). so now, claudio (self titled hero, gotta love it) is off on a journey to save the universe from his father and finds help from pyschopath killers like "Al" who is interested in the extermination of all white females, and his faithful dog Apollo. good shit. |

i think this song is self evident in meaning, but serves its purpose. i agree with pyroheart on the fact that this and refiner's fire go well together. this song is just one of those songs you sing with your eyes shut and really pray it. I like the line "tried and true." u are stronger with each persicution made towards you. to be "tried and true" suggests that ur beleifs were put on trial, and through those trials found to be the honest truth. |

this song rocks, and so does Relient K. the song, although starts off about his car, proves to be an allusion and metaphor to the destruction of satan. at the end of the song the line "he'll seek and destroy everything that i enjoy" refers to the devil. Just like Job, Reliet K feels as though satan is destroying that which he loves, yet the next line "but, i wont be the one he takes down, no, i wont breakdown" shows his strength found in Christ. despite the devil's attempts to destroy his life, he will still stand strong in the gospel and his love found in Jesus. he wont give into the devil or let him destroy his life. way to go!

This song is about unselfish love. here is this girl, which for whatever reason (disfunctional famileis, abusive boyfreind, undecisive feelings or all of the above), cannot be with this guy. the guy is obviously crazy about her. no doubt, her not being with him is causing pain. through the line "your gonna be the one that saves me" we learn that he too struggles from problems of his own. yet he is putting the girl in front of himself. he is saying "you have prblms too and i refuse to be selfish and demand your time." to ease her pain (and his too i'm sure) he says 'all the roads we have to walk are winding, and all the lights that lead us there are blinding" suggesting it is not her fault. with so many obstacles in life, no one can be expected to be perfect. yet in the midst of her imperfection (and his) he loves her. and he will continue to wait for her. in the hopes that she will save him from his breaking heart, his disfunctional family, his abusive friends and/or all of the above. only one problem, we all know Jesus is the only one capable of this love. therefore, to ask that much from a person is insane. however, the attempts are sweet and the message strong. UnSelfish love. Real love. good stuff. -amy

dude, i love the sarcasm in this song. it starts off where kermit totally disses rainbows and says that they are wastes of time, quite shocking. than all of a sudden... BOOM he says "HA" i love rainbows and i will find a connection one day. its beautiful.
as for stargazing, i know why we do it. it is awesome, it is relaxing and it rocks. the other night i thought i found a new constellation, only to find it was already discoverd. but i promise, one day i'll find soemthing new. i think i'll write a song about side front porches, stargazing, pushbrooms and fireflies. all the important things in life |

personally, i find this song freaky. here is this man telling a woman "if you want to leave it is okay, cuz i will find you, you cant escape." now, if a man told me this, i would be very afraid probably try to run and hide. but than he procedes to inform this worried woman "you can run you can hide but you cant escape my love" ouch. the freakiness of this song just went up ten points. this reminds me of pepe la pew (the skunk) who constantly chases after that poor cat. she runs "up and down" but cant get away, HE IS ALWAYS THERE. as my good friend says "some people call it stalking, i call it love" well here is a prime example. |
