I thought it was interestign when (whoever) said that this song was about Simon in the Bible. i never thought of it in that way. but i went to lifehousefans.com and it has a section where Jason interpreted his songs. and it does say for SIMON that he wrote it about a friend, who went through all this hard stuff in his childhood. dont jump to conclusions and tell off ponch when you dont know the whole story. i dont know what this song is truly about becuase i have not met Jason and asked him, until then none of us can ever be sure. i dont know if jason really wrote that stuff on the site i mentioned above. we all have diff. opinions. i think it would be cool if the song was about simon in the bible, but i still dont really see hwo it could be, it jsut doesnt seem like it beside those couple lines you mentioned. well it doesnt matter really. we love the song so who cares!

I absoulutely love this song! The guy is talkign to this person, about Jesus. He thought the person was alot like him and htey could talk about anything. and hten he starts to ask him if he has felt abandoned, and alone.

I love Jasons voice in Lifehouse. I dont what your talkign abuut buddy. Lifehouse is so good, their lyrics are deep, and powerful, unlike all those other ones out their that are just about relationships and their girlfriends. i am so sick of those songs. But Lifehouse's are about God, i am so glad that lifehouse is bringing meaningful songs about God into the secular music world. I hope they never stop. If you dont like lifehous then why in the heck are you in here?? take your bad comments elsewhere please. |

I think this song is totally about GOd. I cant see (personally) how it could be about a girl. its so powerful. i can relate to it so much esp. when its says "how can i stand here and not be moved by you"- i think the same thing too sometimes- how can i just sit here and not be effected by GOd? Its becuase i am not letting HIM. and then the best part is when it gets all rocky and "your all i want, your all i need, your everything, everything". God is all i need in my life and all i really want. this song makes me want to cry out to God. its so awesome. we sing it at my youth group and its so powerful everytime i sing it. I just cant see how a girl can do that for you. i love lifehouse, they are so awesome. adn this is their best song. are they gona come out with another CD? |

i agree totally with Mabes, yeah its all about God. Jason just wants to hear GOd breathing, even if he doesnt hear his voice. he just wants to be closest to God as he can get. this is such a great song. i love jasons voice, it sounds so good in this song. |

Yeah its about love, but LOVE for Jesus Christ! he is sayign how God makes him feel so alive now, and he never has before this time, and he cant deny GOD. and when it says: "Tell the world how I feel inside Even though it might cost me everything" that he wil tell the world about Jesus, even though he will be persicuted for it, it doesnt matter. its so great. POD is so cool, i love the band. :)

I heard from some where that this song was about a DRAG QUEEN. and it does kind of make sense. how here hair is always a mess, and she wears hie heels when she exercises... and it keeps sayign how she wants to be the queen... and it says "the shape of her body-unusual" i was wondering what anyone else thought about it. i am not sure if thats what its about. so if ya disagree or agree please tell. thanx |

I love this song! i think it is talkgin about this guy and girl who are form a small town, but she goes off to "find her self". off probably over seas or somewhere learning all these new things. he is comparign it to her going to somewhere so unfamilar to him like jupitor or the sun, space. she comes back adn she is different. then he says wouldnt you miss all the things here, "deep fried chicken, your best friend always sticking up for you" and "the best soy latte and Me". its such a great song. The guy is sayign all the good things about where they are , like him beign there. its so awesome. :) |
