Pink Floyd – Wish You Were Here Lyrics 21 years ago
for all those who believe that this is some form of love song, i believe that youre all blind. this is not a song of happiness and 'missing your lady-friend', but i believe it is quite a sad and down song, still beautiful though. this song, i believe, is the product of the 'machine'. all those who have actuall y listened to the entire album know what i speak of. i believe that this song represents regret and the relisation of the consequences ones actions have caused. its about fears coming true, a barren landscape so to speak, of the absence of hope, being left with nothing but fear. the 'wish you were here' part though, i believe, is saying that 'i wish you were here to help me out of the mess i got myself into, to make everything better, because you can'. who, i dont know. but thats about all i have time for so......good bye.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Little Wing Lyrics 21 years ago
i must disagree with the above comments. although i must admit that this is unmistakableyone of jimis most beautiful songs, the last 'verse' makes me think otherwise. it come very well be about a significant other in his life. 'a thousand smiles she gives to me free' ruled out the possibility of the song being about a prostitute. i believe that i am wrong in my assumptions, but i still think that they are more likely than that of the guardian angel consept.

System of a Down – Sugar Lyrics 21 years ago
i think this song is fukin funny! its suprisingly good at lifting my spirits when i wanna kill evry1. its obviously about a guy who, after trippin on his mushies, decides to play a lil russian roulette with his new gun, then take it for a spin on his family. in the end, hes either in his room coming to terms with his maddness, or hes been locked away in a cell (possibly padded) and is dwelling in his own insanity.

Nirvana – Lithium Lyrics 21 years ago
i havnt read all the postings, but all the ones i had i believe are wrong. personally, i believe that it is, in a way, mocking religion. what? are you fuckin stupid gerbil? no, im not. i have many reasons to back up my theory. but before i start, i must admit the first two lines and the chorus do back up other peoples opinions quite a bit. but the next two lines in the first verse:
Sunday mornin' is every day For all I care and I'm not scared
Light my candles in a daze 'Cause I've found God

sunday morning mass. thats, in short, my explination for the first one. after a while, every day feels like sunday mass, worshipping god over and over, like some sort of slave for the 'almighty'. the candle bit, well candles are used nation wide in many religious cerimonies.

'im so lonely thats ok i shaved my head' here he may be making refference to monks living in monestries and secluded and isolated places.
'and just maybe im to blame for all ive heard but im not sure' this could be reffering to "christ dying for our sins". the uncertainty of the bibles truth, and so on and so forth.
'im so excited i cant wait to meet you there but i dont care' i believe is talking about the "afterlife".
'im so horny but thats ok my will is good' is, if my theory is correct, most obviously about the oath of celebacy that i believe all religious leaders/servent (nuns, monks, priests etc.) take. for now, i have no explinaton of the chorus. maybe youre right, or maybe its both. that would make sense. its about a priest, whom has become depressed and is losing their grip on sanity and has began questioning his religion.

thank you for your eyes......the Broken_Gerbil

Pink Floyd – Bike Lyrics 21 years ago
being a strong believer in both the musical strengths of Tool and Pink Floyd, i must agree with Iota (except PF is the best, then Tool). in an abstract sense, Tool is in many ways like Pink Floyd. personally, i think ToolRulz needs to re-evaluate his interpretations of music. any real Tool fan, one that truelly ENJOYS and APPRECIATES the works of Tool would also 'understand' Pink Floyd, and not just mark them as old fogies on acid with deficiantcies of sanity. i believe that this song is actually quite powerful. i believe that it reflects a vieww on the matter of love through pre-pubecent eyes. the child in the song attempts to prove his love to his desired female through the 'parading' of matterial possessions. but in the end, music proves to be the most effective means of wooing (real music being the only beauty left in this world). in all, a great song with a comical touch to it which makes it the best 'love' song ive ever heard!

Broken_gerbil saying goodbye.

PS. what the fuck is a 'hard core' Tool fan that hates most everything else doing posting HIS opinion on something that he cant even understand? youve got problems ToolRulz.
