I don't think this is the intention of the song as a whole, but to me this is a song about PTSD. "I'll just throw them all away. They are just photos afrer all" One coping mechanism is to repress negative feelings or traumas "I can't make you hang around." can mean that the sufferer has trouble maintaining relationships with people in the present "I can't wash you off my skin." Abuse in the sufferer's life, either in the past or in the present. "Outside the frame, is what we're leaving out You won't remember anyway" Different interpertations of the sufferer's trauma. I.e: there could be bystanders in the sufferer's past that could recall a memory differently. These bystanders are the type of people who say, "it wasn't that bad." or "I don't remember that ever happening." "I can go with the flow." A way of staying in the present "Do you believe it in your head? It's so safe to play along" The sufferer's current thoughts. In some cases of PTSD, hallucinations can take part of their disorder. So a lot of things can be "in their head." Being safe to play along is a way to stay sane, pretend that everything is fine. "Little soliders in a row." The sufferer feels like a victim under another person's control, even if they are no longer in that traumatic situation. "Falling in and out of love." Difficulty to maintain relationships. "with something sweet to throw away. But I want something good to die for The struggle to stay alive/sane. "To make it beautiful to live. I want a new mistake, lose is more than hesitate." The aspirations for the sufferer, who wants to live a better life than what they once lived. Their drive to keep going. Going with the flow in this case means to keep pushing foerward and moving on. |

I think this is a song about hot steamy sex. Some people like sex up against a wall. The first verse is pure seduction. I don't know if its intentional, but I see connections with this song to a movie under the same name, I Spit On Your Grave. I haven't seen the movie in full, but I know of it (I know a lot of weird morbid history, thats how I know of this film) and events that occur within it. The movie is about a young woman who decides to help a male stranger out. She is on her way to her summer getaway when the male stranger returns with his friends and they rape her. The woman then decides to torture and kill all of those who participated in the rape and thats when the movie becomes a gore fest full of ketchupy blood and cheesy 70s death scenes. The chorous has something to do with the over all goal of the woman in the film, as she watches them get murdered in several ways. The first verse brings up abuse, which rape is a form of abuse.Playing the fool may reffer to her as playing the damsel in distress after such a heinous act is commited. There is later mentiuon of blood, in which I know there is a lot of blood in the film. I haven't seen the 70s film nor have I seen the remake with its sequels, but if I do happen to watch them, all I will think about is this song as our protagnist goes on her killing spree. |

I think this is a song about the book, Lord of the Flies. (Don't read this comment if you haven't read the book becuase there are spoilers ahead!) In the middle of the book, Simon begins loosing his mind, believing that a pig head on a stick, "The Lord of the Flies" is talking to him. Once he comes to the realization that the beast is in all the main characters, he is killed in a rtual. Listening to the flies is what Simon does for about three chapters. The prize in this song could refer to the boys escaping the island. Also the idol in the song could refer to both the pig head AND the conch of authority. |

I think this is a love and sex song. Love makes people do crazy things. With S&M, there is some pain involved in sex, along with pleasure. This is a song (to me) about S&M. "Walk with, with me.
