Bring Me the Horizon – Doomed Lyrics 7 years ago
There are many opinions about this song. It's my favorite one from the album and one of my favorite musics from BMTH. Here is what i think about the lyrics:

To me, Doomed is about an apathetic and suicide person. In the first part,
"Cut off my wings and come lock me up
Just pull the plug yeah, I've had enough
Tear me to pieces, sell me for parts
You're all vampires so here

You can have my heart"
it feels like a guy who is so tired of life that he doesn't even care anymore. He's dead inside. "Tear me to pieces, sell me for parts", is like he is so depressed that it wouldn't matter, he just doesn't care. He just wants to die.

And then there's the second part:
"The walls are a funeral, I run with ghosts
No hint of movement, no sign of pulse
Only an echo, just skin and bone
Then kick the chair but we, we help tie the rope"

Well, in the way i see it, it's about depression. It's like the guy doesn't feel the people arround him anymore, they're all ghosts arround him.
"No sign of pulse", to me, is like everyone is kind of dead too. We're all fucked up, we're not really living. People's true nature is gone, so they're basically "just skin and bone" - there's nothing left inside them.

And then finally, the third part (my favorite one):

"So come rain on my parade
'Cause I want to feel it
Come shove me over the edge
'Cause my head is in overdrive
I'm sorry but it's too late
And it's not worth saving
So come rain on my parade
I think we're doomed
I think we're doomed
And there is no way back"

The way i see it, the guy is embrassing his demons.

It took me a while to understand that. In this part, the guy wants to feel alive again. Wants to feel real people arround him.
"So come rain on my parade, 'cause i want to feel it" - he wants so bad to feel anything - anything at all - again. He's tired of being apathetic, of not being really alive.
"Come shove me over the edge, 'cause my head is in overdrive" - it's like "show me the edge 'cause i can't take this anymore". It's like his mind is so confused about everything that he doesn't know what to do, he's lost.
"I'm sorry but it's too late, and it's not worth saving" - maybe, he thinks that he's helpless, unfixable.
"So come rain on my parade
I think we're doomed, i think we're doomed" - again, the "so come rain on my parade", that we already know what it means: basically, "come and make me feel anything again". But know, there's the "I think we're doomed" part. I think that what Oli is trying to say is that we're all condemned to feel like this at some point in our lives. One day, we're all gonna have to face our demons, but instead of fighting, we should just embrace and learn with them. Again, we're all fucked up, guys. But here is the thing: is it really bad to feel like that?
There's always going to be a sad moment in everyone's life, but that is necessary for our growth. We're all going to feel alone or like crap at some point, and that's just life. Life sucks, but there's nothing we can do. Maybe, we can just accept that and try to be happy.

Now, the other parts:
"You must of made some kind of mistake
I asked for death, but instead I'm awake
The devil told me no room for cheats
I thought I sold my soul, but he kept the receipt"

I think that this part is about second chances. I mean, he wanted to die before and he's still alive. He didn't really sold his soul, he just got another chance. :)

Continuing...
"So leave the lights on I’m coming home
It's getting darker but I carry on
The sun won't shine here, it never did
And when it rains, it fucking pours
But I think I like it
And you know that I'm love with the pain
I think I like it"

I think that the guy is trying to leave his apathy behind. "So leave the lights on, i'm coming home" - it's like "i'm going back to who i used to be". "It's getting darker but i carry on" - it's like "it will be hard, but i'll make it".
"The sun won't shine here, it never did" - it wasn't easy then, and it won't be easy now. I also think that this part is about how you can't find light without going through dark first, even though the guy still in the dark, but trying to get out.
And then, there's the: "And when it rains, it fucking pours
But I think I like it
And you know that I'm love with the pain
I think I like it" - Well, i've got two interpretations of this part. The first one:

"And you know that I'm love with the pain, i think I like it" - i think that he used to like being alone, despite of everything. He was able to realize things that he couldn't before in that time and to think in a different way.

The second one:
"When it rains it fucking pours, but i think i like it" - maybe, when there's finally rain, when he finally feels ("so come RAIN on my parade"), it poured. He felt again and it kind of scared him.

"And you know that i'm in love with the pain, i think i like it" - he was feeling again, and it was weird, but he liked it. He loved the feeling of feeling again. :)

So, this is mine interpretation of "Doomed" - one of my favorite songs in the world. In short, the song is about ups and downs that life has.
The whole "That's the Spirit" album talks about finding light in the darkness, and Doomed shows it perfectly.

I'm sorry for my english, hope you could understand at least most of it.
I also hope you enjoyed it.
Thanks,
Luísa.
