Ween – She's Your Baby Lyrics 5 years ago
Someone already mentioned Kafka's Metamorphosis...however, many of his books can fit into her hand because they could be interpreted as his lifelong tension between bachelorhood and marriage.
Now about the bunnies in a can. This phrase has always reminded me of a short story by Julio Cortazar titled "A Letter to a Lady in Paris". It is essentially a suicide note.
A million layers of crust and deposit could be the emotional damage and baggage we accumulate in our lives.

Peter Murphy – Roll Call Lyrics 7 years ago
Anyone hear "in cant and out of sync" instead of I'll calmed and out of sync. I'll calmed doesn't fit or make sense at all here. He's mocking people and if you look up the definition of "cant" as I've used it here it fits.

Ween – Exactly Where I'm At Lyrics 7 years ago
On my first listen to this song, the drums reminded of the start of The Cure's "A Short Term Effect" from Pornography...not exactly the same but similar. I imagine this song is about a couple who have been together for a long time...they may be broken up at this point or they may still be together but there is a lot of resentment being thrown about. Who hasn't been in a relationship with someone that made you feel not important or the plethora of other reasons people have to build that mountain of resentment? Leading with the past in front...yeah...this isn't a healthy relationship...living in the past will just fuel all the bad feelings you have for someone. It is possible to move on from those feelings if the person who made you feel that way is sincerely sorry and working to make you not feel that way. However, in this case, the "harsh realities" don't seem to be going away and they can't be ignored any longer. I like the subtlety of this song, less "in your face" fuck off song than "Baby Bitch"...shows a level of maturity in their song writing.
