Makes me cry every time i listen to it. The first time i heard it, i saw him preform it, kind of unaware of the meaning of the song. Once i listened to it again multiple times, i understood how deep the message was, and how the ending is so sarcastic, and how he leaves the song kind of unfinished... "This twisted wreckage down main street will bring us all together in the end, and we'll go marching down the road to freedom", obviously the opposite of what the whole song is trying to say. He's also going back and forth between these thoughts of war and the thoughts of love, being with the one you love on an island, and losing your children in a war. It's a cery powerful song! |

Great song, and sung beautifully I might add... Really makes you reflect on yourself and your actions, to think about people risking their own lives to save others, it really made me feel selfish that I wasn't doing all that I could to help others as well. If there ever was a shipwreck in the near future, I am praying for them, the lost, the survivors, and everyone's families. It's such a shame what people take for granted while others are struggling to stay alive. Glad this song and story was shared with the world. Kind of reminds me of the Titanic a bit. |

I'm surprised no one commented yet... I don't really know what Caledonia means, but this song is sung so beautifully it makes me cry every time. The Show was performed perfectly in every way with the original members, it's my favorite show of theirs. This song sounds like a love song to me, maybe to a person or land. I don't really know, but I love it! |
