Todd Rundgren – Golden Goose Lyrics | 7 years ago |
Todd is saying (I think) that people go mad over the slightest thing (Everybody wants an egg from the golden goose) but when something even crazier and stupider, they all leave to go to that.( but they don't care if they kill the golden goose) and that celebrities are people, not just idols. |
Simon and Garfunkel – I Am A Rock Lyrics | 7 years ago |
Buddhism? Attachment to material things is bad... |
Elton John – Don't Go Breaking My Heart Lyrics | 7 years ago |
@[Kafziel:14673] This isn't bad, but Elton was better in the 70's. |
Elton John – Don't Go Breaking My Heart Lyrics | 7 years ago |
@[DJacques75:14672] You're right. |
David Bowie – Rebel Rebel Lyrics | 7 years ago |
David Bowie - antiestablishment hipster! Go AGAINST the flow. |
David Bowie – Life on Mars? Lyrics | 7 years ago |
The world has become so lazy, taking everything for granted. I agree with Dave at "look at those cavemen go", we used to be much much better. Is there life on Mars? Can we start a new life? |
David Bowie – Life on Mars? Lyrics | 7 years ago |
@[georgy:14671] I heartily agree, George. |

Todd Rundgren – Blue Orpheus Lyrics | 7 years ago |
@[BoyInTheBubble:13606] My mistake. Orpheus was a Greek singer who enticed dead back from the underworld. |
Paul Simon – The Boy in the Bubble Lyrics | 7 years ago |
@[msulli05:13598] You just blew my mind about the bubble analogy, |
Todd Rundgren – Blue Orpheus Lyrics | 7 years ago |
Suicide. It's easy to console someone else who is about to commit it, but when you are committing it it is not as easy. Sure, there are many reasons for it, hence the top two lines, but I'm guessing that the blue Orpheus is a voice in your head saying not to, there are so many reasons to keep living, sometimes life is a wonderful thing. |
Todd Rundgren – Honest Work Lyrics | 7 years ago |
@[BoyInTheBubble:13597] The prophets created jobs for rich, smart, young people, but once you start gambling you can't stop, and you will end up as society's debris. |
Todd Rundgren – Honest Work Lyrics | 7 years ago |
Betting and gambling. His family are deeply ashamed of him for losing all his money from gambling- "They could not bear the hurt to see the state their boy is in for lack of honest work". Gambling has drank away his savings. When the prophets of a brave new world settled and formed their land, they created jobs, thousands, but for people who don't want to do work, their is no room for them in the "honest boat". They end up gambling, trying to get money, but he is now ashamed of not finding room on the boat and is now not doing honest work. |
Billy Joel – We Didn't Start the Fire Lyrics | 7 years ago |
What fired? What is the fire? Controversy? And who is "we"? And who started the fire? |

@[BoyInTheBubble:12538] Hey, just listen to the accordion all the way through. Enlightening. |
Paul Simon – The Boy in the Bubble Lyrics | 7 years ago |
Oh dear. I made this username but I didn't know who the Boy in the Bubble was... David Vetter. I have this username because I love the tune of the song, but I didn't realise that it was so dramatic... |
Paul Simon – Diamonds On the Soles of Her Shoes Lyrics | 7 years ago |
About how nothing can separate two lovers- race, religion, age, not even wealth, d they can always be in love. |
Paul Simon – Crazy Love, Vol. II Lyrics | 7 years ago |
This is what I said for Todd Rundgren's Hello It's Me. Listen to Paul Simons Crazy Love. Fat Charlie is fed up being made to do things, how his opinion never mattered in marriage, and they divorce. After the break up, Todd Rundgren says (no, they are not homosexual) that he is considering remarriage, but this time not forcing the other to change for him or do everything he says. Genius song. |

Todd Rundgren – Johnee Jingo Lyrics | 7 years ago |
I think that it is about propaganda and right wing politics Johnee Jingo is joining the army, but I think that extreme Republicans don't tell the young soldiers about the bad things in war. And the Lefties are talking about the futility, Jingo don't you fight for me. And How war can be covering up racism , or just patriotism hiding bigotry. Great song, Todd. |
