Imagine Dragons – Shots (Broiler remix) Lyrics 8 years ago
This song is all about an apology to the woman he loves. He feels torn apart and lost in his life. He's looking for a way to escape and he's taking things for granted and realizes he's messing everything up. He's letting everything drift away and wants to be heard in his pain. He's shot a hole through everything he's ever loved. He's wishing in this particular case, he wishes the girl he loves were there. In the meantime, he's trying to let go of the people he loves. At the end, he says there's always hope and time to change the things that have happened leaving the song on a somewhat hopeful note. Overall, this song is in relation is a testament to failed relationships and his apology since the moment he was born. Therefore causing this song to be named "Shots".

Bobby Shmurda – Hot Nigga Lyrics 8 years ago
This song is a tragedy even though it comes off as braggadocious to the average listener, even the mood of the song would suggest someone who simply bragging about living the gangster life and having women, money and success. However, once you look more deeply into this song and you take out the music itself and focus entirely on the lyrics, you'll understand more that this song is in fact, tragic. Shootings that occur and many different people dying around him and how his father was incarcerated and how people around him are keeping 9 millimeter guns and how people are teaching him how to protect himself from those trying to hurt his family, friends and those he cares about when it is all about territory. He talks about trying to gun them down and being able to get an advantage over them whether it is having a their girl giving him neck until he passes out or stealing money from them. In the end, he's referencing how all of this is "dumb shit".

Demi Lovato – Cool for the Summer Lyrics 8 years ago
Right from the start, when I first heard this song, I immediately got the feeling this song was heavily sexual in its meaning due to the instrumentation from the start that starts off so soft with the piano and then the soft bass that accompanies Demi Lovato. The song itself is obviously talking about a fling/tryst with a woman in secret. Her mind is on the woman in question thinking about her body and mind and the desire to be taken to "paradise". Thinking about her all the time creates the chorus of "Got my mind on your body and your body on my mind". This whole song takes place during the summertime relating to the song title "Cool For The Summer". Good song and production on this song is stellar.

The Weeknd – Often Lyrics 8 years ago
This song heavily indicates that he is "often" having sex and doing drugs even though he often sleeps alone, he describes himself as a young person in the city and he's telling the girl he's with that he does this often. This song has a kind of demeanor that gives off the vibe of someone who's high on drugs and filled with love like a drug until the morning sun rises. Although, I am heavily referencing (sophiexxx), she's got the correct interpretation of this song as well however I'd also like to go into the song instrumentation and how that plays a part in the song: there is a heavy start and then there is automatically the heavy bass that drops in the background and it gives off an ethereal atmosphere.

Justin Bieber – What Do You Mean? Lyrics 8 years ago
My interpretation of this song is completely relaying upon the troubles, misunderstandings and complications that develop in a relationship and how the girl in the relationship is messing with the guy's heart and causing her indecision to cause confusion, therefore causing the repetitive chorus of "What Do You Mean"? This song, although it has relatively simple lyrics, has a lot to say about love and relationships.

This song is about a man who loves his wife so deeply and now something has happened in which she (Anastasia) has to be left behind for the life he will be living and fearing that this song may be his last farewell to her. He will be running from the law and he is forced to live a life he no longer wishes to live. The song makes references to him committing murder for the woman he loves.

Never Shout Never – Piggy Bank Lyrics 8 years ago
Referencing to (anythingelse's interpretation). This song is definitely about the thrill of finding someone who is true and not materialistic with life. He's talking about how she cares about spending genuine time with him instead of caring about having money. He wants to do simple things and how other people in love are shallow and materialistic because they seem to only care about how much money they have. He's saying life is short and even if we don't have money we should make the most out of life. He's happy with the life that he has regardless of his status and the things he won't be able to do because of his lifestyle and lack of money. He's just happy he has her and that's all he needs to be happy with his life. Good song and important lesson to learn. We could all die someday and it's important to live life to the fullest.

Soulja Boy – Kiss Me Thru The Phone Lyrics 8 years ago
It's a simple love song. It's meaning is simple as well. It's about showing love through the distance. It's reminiscing about his love for her. It's about missing her so much and loving her through the phone (thus, the name of the "Kiss Me Thru The Phone"). It's talking about how much he wants to kiss her and be there beside her and talking about seeing her once he's back home. This song is simple yet sweet.

Elliott Yamin – Wait for you Lyrics 8 years ago
It's relatively simple yet heartbreaking. This song is talking about a guy who is head over heels in love with a girl who he thinks the world of. He needs her in his life and no matter what it takes, he wants to be with her and it's driving him crazy. He's in agony and he's wondering what it will take to have her. He's saying all these things out of desperation and he's asking for a chance to love her the way she deserves to be loved. He's saying that when it comes to time, he has the rest of his life to love her and doesn't believe her when she tells him the time's gone and the pride that she has blinds her from the truth. He legitimately wants to believe that it's destiny that she and him will be together in the end. This song is relatable to pretty much anyone and to be honest, you'd have to be heartless not to understand a person who's in pain this way.

Atreyu – Lead Sails (And a Paper Anchor) Lyrics 8 years ago
To me, this song is about fighting a war that is entirely internal. These emotions are devastating and ruining him inside and tearing him apart. The person who's singing [Brandon Saller doing the clean vocals and Alex Varkatzas doing the louder vocals that turn into throaty, pained voice that are less clean but not yet what I would call screaming or yelling of any sort]. This song concentrates on the concept of loneliness and having to face this battle alone. The very thought of having to face all of this alone makes his heart turn cold out of fear (Sinking, my heart turns to stone). There are references to alcohol to drown out the pain of this suffering (I needed a drink, I never thought this would consume me whole). It shows how deep his pain is as he is describing himself literally withering away (Withering away, a shrinking violet dies, so full of life..). Lastly, as the song comes to a close and the climax of the song arrives, there's this heartbreaking repetition [save me, take me home]. Words that are simple, yet heartbreaking in their meaning of the song itself. He's asking for help from anyone and is asking for the help of God towards the end of the song as well (I'm out here alone,oh God can you save me now?). Overall, my favorite song on this album.
