This song in my opinion is about nihilism, how all cultural, religious, and national pride only lead to war and violence, and if we just swallowed our pride, the world would be a much better place. |

Well I think this song is definitely about war, but my view of this song specifically is desertion, basically coming from the perspective of a soldier and he is ashamed of what he did, but he tries his hardest to get mama (the country your fighting for) that the situation was just too much and the conditions were just too dark. I would like to know how this song fits into the black parade storyline if anyone would like to enlighten me. |
