The Cars – Let's Go Lyrics 4 years ago
Thinking of Ric Ocasek today, rip.
I've always thought this great song was about having sex with a girl and it's her first time. He's feeling a little guilty about popping her cherry (break her crown) but after being denied in the past, she now gives him the green light "let's go."

@[mcouzijn:31578] You are the only one here actually deciphering the lyrics, well done and thanks.
I'm still unclear what Paul means here though:
Half of the time we're gone
But we don't know where,
And we don't know where

Queen – Hammer To Fall Lyrics 4 years ago
@[Alegro23:31286] How the hell did you get that interpretation? this song is about one thing - we all die, we are all just waiting till the day we die, and we all end up in the same place. That's it, and it is a fucking BRILLIANT song.

New Order – Love Less Lyrics 6 years ago
The singer comes off to me a bit of a creepy stalker. I'd like to know what the person he is talking to has to say.

The Who – Who Are You? Lyrics 7 years ago
This song is about asking himself who he is, he feels like a complete stranger is living in his body. And who hasn't done that?

Indigo Girls – Closer to Fine Lyrics 7 years ago
Why on earth would someone interpret this song to be about being gay or coming out?
This song has a very simple yet powerful message. There is no meaning to life or your existence, and the closer you get to accepting that fact the closer you will be to being ok with it. This is a very hard pill for many to swallow, and their continued searches just end in more and more frustration because the meaning to life is there is no meaning.

Gordon Lightfoot – Early Morning Rain Lyrics 8 years ago
I understand every lyric except "And the women all were fast"
What is Gordon referring to I wonder? it sounds like he got laid but where, when, and what does that have to do with standing in a field alone drunk watching planes leave?

Nick Drake – Cello Song Lyrics 8 years ago
I think he is singing to himself as a child, before his depression and the hassles of life as an adult.
His child spirit (happiness, naivety, hopefull) is long since died.
He hopes his child spirit still exists, someplace inside of him, and can come back to save or at least help him.

Gut wrenching song, that I and I'm sure many others could relate to.
