Liked Shikari since I was 12 but I'm into them so much more now - I really appreciate the intelligence and themes in the lyrics. Gotta see them live again. |

I know it sounds silly, but for me it's like temptation calling to a person, like heroin or even an abusive partner. The temptation offers understanding and comfort but with sinister undertones.

I think it's about getting through hard times, and getting something good out of them. I wish I could put it more poignantly, but that's what I think. There's an interview on YouTube with Oli Sykes talking about the album, and he sort of hinted at this. Love this song. |

I love this song :D Such a shame that the band's legacy have been tainted by what happened.
I hate to say this, but if Ian wrote the lyrics, it makes me feel like it's him taunting his ex Joanne while she was trying to expose him, in that no-one believed her and everyone was on his side.
But that's just me over-reading into it. It's a really great song regardless of what he's done. |

About growing up maybe, a coming of age thing? Being let down as a child and not being able to get over it even now. The first verse especially speaks strongly of childhood. And the build up is like it's built up his whole life until he's bitter and screaming.
I love this song so much, it almost drives me crazy. I get lines from the screaming part stick in my head. Beautiful song, full of passion. |
