I saw Mandolin Orange live and Andrew said this is a song "about a horse". I take it as an ode to the Warhorse throughout the history of man. It's a beautiful song. As a small side note: I read an interview where Andrew credited the Lord of the Rings as his inspiration for the lyrics. |
