This song really brings tears to my eyes because it reminds me of two of my exes. The first one was the most perfect girl I could ever hope for. She was my dream girl and all I've ever wanted. We were in love but it didn't work out because of some issues with her family. She was my first love and the first girl I ever said "I love you" to. I was 19 at the time and she was 18. We both cried when we broke up and deep down in my heart I know I would never love anyone as much as I love her. So when I started dating a new girlfriend (2nd Ex) if just never felt the same. We would both lay in bed with each other but I felt disconnected. She would tell me all the time that she loved me but I know I didn't feel the same. We were in a relationship but I felt truly alone. And when I was physically alone, I liked it. She was a beautiful and lovely girl but i had to break up with her because I didn't want to keep lying to someone I truly knew I couldn't see the rest of my life with. What breaks my heart so much is that I'm not even driven anymore to find "the one" because like Keaton said: I found her but now she is gone. |
