Tears for Fears – Mad World Lyrics 9 years ago
Several lines in this song stand out to me. First of all, "Bright and early for their daily races/ Going nowhere/ Going nowhere." It sounds to me that what the artist is saying is that everyone is so excited to do things but that nothing they do has an actual point.
"The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had," is another. A lot of people comment on this one, but as a teenager (loath as I am to bring THAT up), I have to say it rings true for me. An interpretation of this particular line that keeps popping into my head is that the narrator is afraid of life, and miserable living it. Another line I think adds to this point is "Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow/ No tomorrow/ No tomorrow." The narrator is terrified of the future because he doesn't really expect anything good to happen- just more of the same bleak existence.
I have to agree with pretty much everyone in that this is a song about depression. Being kind of depressed myself, all of the lyrics resemble thoughts I've had.

The lyrics that stand out to me the most are:
Time is so short and I'm sure
There must be something more.

Murray Gold – Song For Ten Lyrics 10 years ago
This is one of my favorite songs from Doctor Who. I guess it's about Rose, but I always think of Sarah Jane when I listen to it. It fits the Tenth Doctor's personality really well. The problem is, in the series 4 specials soundtrack, right before the Doctor regenerates, they play a reprise of this which is slowed down and all instrumental that kills me every time.

Chameleon Circuit – Silence and the End of All Things Lyrics 10 years ago
This song makes me sad. Obviously it's about when the Doctor thought he was going to die and he'd never have existed and Amy would never have met him. But I dunno, I guess I relate to the Doctor. It makes me miss my friends who I don't see anymore.

Coldplay – Strawberry Swing Lyrics 10 years ago
This song makes me nostalgic, I suppose, like it does for everyone else. It also makes me hopeful. It's probably one of my favorite songs. I always seem to end up listening to it while I'm in the car, and t nearly always succeeds in making me feel alone. That's one of the reasons I can't listen to Coldplay for long. All of their songs are so sad.
