Bastille – Skulls Lyrics | 9 years ago |
Although Skulls does appear on All This Bad Blood, it is in actual fact a demo. The finished track, Remains (vs Rag N Bone Man vs Skunk Anansie), appears on the new Bastille EP, VS. (Other People's Heartache Part 3) |
Bastille – The Draw Lyrics | 9 years ago |
i completely agree and i think it could also be seen as the third part in a trilogy of songs (Bad Blood, Forever Ever then The Draw) |
Bastille – Bad Blood Lyrics | 9 years ago |
To find the true meaning of this song, you need to be familiar with one of Bastille's non-album tracks, namely Forever Ever (ft. Kate Tempest) (I'm not sure whether it's on Other People's Heartache PtI or PtII) Personally I feel the two tracks are the two sides of the story, with the chorus as a unification. The two songs portray the story of two people who were childhood friends, but whilst one (the one singing in Forever Ever) matured as they grew up and became a member of society, the other, who voices Bad Blood, spiralled into addiction. the singer in Bad Blood does not see that they have a problem and just gets frustrated at everybody, including the Forever Ever singer, and the friendship slowly disintegrates. The repeated "I don't wanna talk about it" reflects the refusal to accept help and talk about the addiction he has |
Fall Out Boy – Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying (Do Your Part to Save the Scene and Stop Going to Shows) Lyrics | 9 years ago |
I bet they stole the title from P!ATD |
Bastille – Torn Apart Lyrics | 9 years ago |
:~D (though actually i've noticed they've already taken back down the rap version so maybe that was just a mistake on their part) |

Bastille – Torn Apart Lyrics | 9 years ago |
This is the version that is just Bastille, there is a version where just after the last chorus the rapper GRADES has a verse and there are ooohs to fade out. Since this song will be on the Bastille EP VS. (also known as other People's Heartache Pt.III) and that is going to be a purely collaboratory EP in contrast to its two predecessors, which are both solely covers or different versions of their own songs, i expect it will be the rap version that is on the actual EP |
Bastille – Bad Blood Lyrics | 9 years ago |
Apparently one of the songs from Taylor Swift's new album is called Bad Blood and I can't wait to see the Stormers absolutely annihilate the Swifties BASTILLE4EVA |
Bastille – Things We Lost in the Fire Lyrics | 9 years ago |
Things We Lost In The Fire is the musical representation of Mary Winchester |
Twista – Hope Lyrics | 9 years ago |
He's pretty similar to Eminem in that respect. Marshall can in one song preach non-violence and inspirational messages, then in the next talk about shooting up celebs and having grudges (though to be fair that is because for the inspirational ones he is just Eminem and then when he's crazy he's Slim Shady) |
Mika – Lollipop Lyrics | 9 years ago |
This is why i'm amazed Bastille haven't done any covers of mika yet: an upbeat song with sad lyrics, perfect for bastille to make it eery and a little depressing if you actually concentrate on it instead of siniging along as you inevitably would |
Bastille – Pompeii Lyrics | 9 years ago |
81 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS IN THE TOP 100! 19 TO GO!!!!! :~D |
The Hoosiers – Choices Lyrics | 9 years ago |
to be fair, a lot of the lyric videos i've seen for choices make the same mistake as the first one you pointed out, so i don't really blame the person who submitted the lyrics for it |
Eminem – Cleaning Out My Closet Lyrics | 9 years ago |
i feel like all true Stans should stop listening to this now tbh. I mean it's a good song, but Eminem has said he regrets making it, he no longer plays it at shows, and he cringes every time it's on the radio (all of these are mentioned in Headlights ft Nate Ruess) |
Ed Sheeran – U.N.I. Lyrics | 9 years ago |
I like the idea that U.N.I was actually initials and not to do with uni so yeah, i like your thinking :~D |
Eminem – Lose Yourself Lyrics | 9 years ago |
the sad thing is on loads of his songs he says about not being able to sing even though he's got a really good singing voice, and also in response to anyone who say people who can't sing rap, Ed Sheeran is amazing at both |
Eminem – Lose Yourself Lyrics | 9 years ago |
If you liked Mockingbird then i suggest you listen to Headlights from his new album |
Ariana Grande – Problem (feat. Iggy Azalea) Lyrics | 9 years ago |
mission accomplished :~D |
The Dubliners – Whiskey in the Jar Lyrics | 9 years ago |
very good version, but nowhere near the best version, which has to be the version performed by Hobo Jones and the Junkyard Dogs (if you've been to Glasto at any point in the last ten years you've probably heard of them) |
Eminem – Rap God Lyrics | 9 years ago |
*laughs at the thought of Lil Wayne being the one who made rap* I'm better than him, seriously |
Ed Sheeran – Tenerife Sea Lyrics | 9 years ago |
It is possible, but after recent events i doubt it. Ellie is rumoured to have slept with Niall from 1D about a week after sleeping with Ed and he is supposedly really angry about that (Most people think that Don't is about that situation). And again it could be about Swiftie, but I just feel that he wrote One about her (he references Everything Has Changed and he says he wants to always stay friends with her) Personally I feel it could be about Demi for similar reasons to why you think Ellie and also they have Taylor as a mutual friend |

Chameleon Circuit – Exterminate, Regenerate Lyrics | 9 years ago |
It’s been such a long time since I met you back on Skaro And I’m pretty sure that you know That not much has changed since then It doesn’t matter how hard you try to remove me I think you will agree That if one of us dies, then the other will too I am locked in war with you The mention of Skaro suggests (as if you couldn't work it out from the title) that this song has something to do with the Daleks, since Skaro is their planet of origin. The band have said that the metallic autotune used for the majority of the song is to show that it is largely from the POV of Davros. The immediate assumption is then that all of his parts are directed at The Doctor, especially as it is from the POV of Ten when there is no autotune. However, I feel this first verse is addressed more at the Timelords as a whole for a couple of reasons. Firstly, The Doctor does not have a warring attitude. Remember that when he was face to face with the last Dalek he could not find it in him to kill the Dalek. But other Timelords, like The Master for instance, would have no such qualms. Yet, it says "It doesn’t matter how hard you try to remove me", implying the entity that Davros is talking to wants to kill him. Also, I find the lyric "I am LOCKED in WAR with you" jarring. The Timelords and The Daleks (Davros included) are in a time lock to prevent the effects of the time war affecting the rest of the universe. Exterminate, Regenerate I thought you always knew our fate To just keep fighting on and on While time keeps turning Regenerate, Exterminate And even though we are the same Why don’t you hop into your ship And leave me burning The Exterminate Regenerate half of the chorus continues with a reference to the time war, though I am unsure about whom is singing to whom (possibly Davros to some random timelord or dalek or a member of the rani) The Regenerate Exterminate half is about the end of the Doctor/Donna ep where the Dalek ship is burning, The Doctor offers to let Davros into the TARDIS so he survives and Davros rejects the offer Even though, as men, we have our contrasts We’re of exactly the same class And our constant companion is death Look at you, fashioning people into weapons How can you say that you’re better than me? We both carry the fire, that is set to devour life By this point I feel Davros is talking to the Doctor. In the first episode of New Who, called "Rose", a character called Clive says the Doctor has one constant companion: Death. In the episode "Journey's End", Davros himself claims that he (The Doctor) has fashioned people into weapons. We both carry the fire, that has the power to end life But what I do with that flame is what separates our types If it takes till the end of reality to beat you Then ill be sure to meet you, at the exit of the world This part I feel is from the POV of The Doctor. He is saying that they aren't the same because he doesn't use his powers for bad. I assume that by the "End of Reality" it is referring to the reality bomb (Osterhagen Key) that Martha has in Germany. Exterminate, Regenerate You know that it isn’t too late To end what seems impossible And leave time turning Regenerate, Exterminate And even though we aren’t the same Why don’t you hop into my ship And we can settle this And we can settle this By this point, the Dalek ship is imploding, and The Doctor is offering a peace between himself and Davros, and also telling Davros to get into the TARDIS so that he won't perish. |

So different from the cutting crew original but sooooo good! |
Chameleon Circuit – Still Not Ginger Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Whenever it gets to the Fish Fingers and Custard part I just can't help laughing at Charlie's reaction |
Chameleon Circuit – Everything Is Ending Lyrics | 10 years ago |
I love this song! The fact they got Bryarly (Charlie's Girlfriend at the time, now still good friends but not together) to sing as Amy I think makes it. Still Got Legs is such a great album and i feel with this Chameleon Circuit accomplishes something i've only ever seen three times before: A faultless album! Btw the other three are + - Ed Sheeran, Bad Blood - Bastille and Life in Cartoon Motion - Mika |
Chameleon Circuit – Big Bang Two Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Well you are Amy and Rory's child so i should hope so |
Chameleon Circuit – The Sound of Drums Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Your mixing up series' , The Sound of Drums is about the three episodes at the end of series 3 (utopia, the sound of drums and the last of the timelords) but Wilfred knocks four times in the 4th of the 4 specials made in the year after series 4 (only just realised that is four fours you joker Moffat) That episode is referenced in The Doctor is Dying |
Eminem – Cleaning Out My Closet Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Great song and straight from the heart, though Eminem now regrets making this record In Headlights from MMLP2 the following lyrics are rapped: "But I'm sorry mama for Cleaning Out My Closet, at the time I was angry rightfully maybe so, never meant that far to take it though, 'cause Now I know it's not your fault, and I'm not making jokes that song I no longer play at shows and I cringe every time it's on the radio" |
MC Hammer – U Can't Touch This Lyrics | 10 years ago |
How can you hate them TROUSERS??? I want a pair because they look sooo comfy |
MC Hammer – U Can't Touch This Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Also the version with just Vanilla Ice isn't even the best version of Ice Ice Baby, that strangely is Ice Ice Baby (Under Pressure) by Vanilla Ice and Jedward (iKR How are they better than the original???) |
MC Hammer – U Can't Touch This Lyrics | 10 years ago |
loads of the lyrics are missing on this version |
MC Hammer – U Can't Touch This Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Hammer Time will always live on and there are loads of good rappers from the 90's (Eg Vanilla Ice, Will Smith, Mark Morrison etc.) (though it's just their good to listen to, not necessarily good rappers skill wise) However, to say the only good rapper now is Eminem is a load of BS!!! Yes Eminem is and always will be the greatest, but in the 00's we had 2Pac, Biggie, D12, Jay-Z, Kanye etc and now in the 10's we also have Kendrick, Childish Gambino, A$AP Rocky, Macklemore and many others RAP DOES NOT SUCK!!! |

No chance, as this was in the UK charts in late 2012 but anyone who keeps up to date with celebrity news will know that they were still very much together at the start of 2013 (they were seen making out on NYE/D after I think harry had got on a plane from the other side of the world just to see Taylor so get you facts right |
The XX – Angels Lyrics | 10 years ago |
OMG this interpretation is Amazing, but I would add a bit to it. Although it is most definitely a love song (and a beautiful one at that), when I listen to it I never imagine it being sung to anyone that is listening. It feels like it is either: A) Being sung simply in the head of the singer whilst looking at their partner OR B) The intended recipient is asleep and the singer is at their bed side singing it almost like a lullaby PS If Glee haven't performed this yet it would be brilliant for Kurt to sing about Blaine |
The Jam – A Town Called Malice Lyrics | 10 years ago |
I guarantee if you played this at a party all the cool people (that's cool, not popular) would get up and start dancing |
Eminem – Headlights (feat. Nate Ruess) Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Does anyone else imagine that in Verse 4 Em would get the crowd to put their lighters up and sway? |
Ed Sheeran – All Of The Stars Lyrics | 10 years ago |
WHY IS THIS SONG SO PERFECT?!?!?! I'm not sure which destroyed my feels more, listening to this or when I read TFIOS for the first time???? |
Eminem – Headlights (feat. Nate Ruess) Lyrics | 10 years ago |
I love this song, in my opinion it is the best track on one Em's best Albums to to date, but being a Nerd I have a problem with his second verse. Marshall, if you looked back when you and your mum were going in different directions, you would see the taillights, not the headlights |
