Lorde – Tennis Court Lyrics 10 years ago
My Interpretation:

"Don't you think that it's boring how people talk. making smart with their words again, well I'm bored"
- talks about the media and celebrity gossip and how she finds it dull and unimportant.

"Because I'm doing it for the thrill of it, killin' it, never not chasing a million things I want"
- Is about her fame and that she's making her music and living her life simply for the thrill of it and chasing her dreams and ambitions instead of any idle gossip and fame (mentioned before)

"And I am only as young as the minute is full of it, getting pumped up on the little bright things I bought"
- She's basically saying that she's only news or fresh in people's attention for a moment while people are still talking about it and talking about every idle thing she does. (fame)

"But I know they'll never own me"
- no matter how much she's talked about or how famous she is she is her own person and not a puppet.

~

"Baby be the class clown, I'll be the beauty queen in tears. It's a new art form showing people how little we care."
- she's possibly making a comment on how false faced people are and how much people throw around doing things ironically and feel the need to fit certain labels and be certain ways in order to show how much they don't give a shit about anything.

"We're so happy, even though we're smiling out of fear" - Another comment on the falseness of people and maybe event a comment on how people continue to live unsatisfying lives and do as they're "meant to" even though they're empty and pretending that that's how it's supposed to be and that they're happy instead of admitting they're afraid.

"let's go down to the tennis court and talk it up like yeah" - Someone in the over comments talked about the french revolution and how they used to gather at tennis courts to discuss the new constitution or something and that sounds like it fits. She's saying she wants the way things are (as the she talked about in the first verse and chorus) to change.

"Pretty soon I'll be getting on my first plane, I'll see the veins of my city like they do in space"
- talking about how she'll be going on tour overseas and getting on a literal plane.

"But my head's filling up fast with the wicked games, up in flames. How can I fuck with the fun again, when I'm know?" - her head's filling up with fears and anxieties and it's not good. Pondering how she can be herself and fuck around when she's famous.

"And my boys trip me up with heads again, loving them." - reference to her friends or brothers or something and possibly saying that they trip her head up, therefore stopping her from thinking all the bad things and make her feel better.

"Everything's cool when we're all in line for the throne" - not too sure but possibly another reference to fame.

"it looked alright in the pictures, getting caught up in half of the trip though, isn't it?" - perhaps talking about paparazi and getting caught doing things but having fun doing it anyway

"I fall apart with all my heart and you can watch from your window" - first part may be sarcasm or simply the notion of falling apart and people watching her from behind glass or screens. Basically saying that they're not living, just pathetically watching her live. fame, media, etc.

and so yeah. The song seems to be about fame and the falseness of society.
