i feel like there could be two interpretations.. the first could be that a loved one moved far away and the song is saying no matter how far away the person is he'll always love them and "be with" them, and the second interpretation could be that a loved one passed away and they're telling them that even though they're "miles away" (in heaven) they still feel their presence, and they will always be there with them wherever they are. either way i love this song and always jam to it in my car when it plays on the radio! |

i feel like this song is about a relationship gone bad without a legitimate reason, and they are trying to figure out where it went wrong to try to fix it. "you sigh look away" and "soft speak with a mean streak nearly brought me to my knees" show the couple fighting. "you can drive all night looking for the answer in the pouring rain" shows the want for an answer to how the relationship could be mended. "if we could find a reason a reason to change" and "if you could find a reason a reason to stay" also shows how the singer wants their relationship to be alright again. |
