Great to be the first comment :) Notice the fact Harry wrote this song. With everything he's been through with relationships, you can see how deep these lyrics are. With the rumors and about not finding a real girlfriend, it's beautiful and relatable. I cry while listening to this song because it's true. Truly one of my top favorite songs. "One day you'll come into my world and say it all/You say we'll be together even when you're lost" she'll come into his life and they'll be close and fight for the relationship. "One day you'll say these words I thought but never said/You say we're better off together in our bed" saying I love you and being safe together and away from public eye. "I want you here with me, Like how I pictured it, So I don't have to keep imagining/Come on, jump out at me/Come on, bring everything/Is it too much to ask for something great?" emotional chorus. The first part about how he pictures finally being with someone. The second part is mainly just awaiting for his 'something great', his girl to take him away from his heartache. "One day I'll come into your world and get it right/I'll say we're better off together here tonight" he doesn't want the public ruining a good relationship that he's trying to perfect. Bonus for the fact he sings this part. "You're all I want, So much it's hurting" Louis' beautiful vocals. No Larry. NO. It's saying she's what he's been waiting for and he needs her in his life. |

The directioners have discussed the lyrics a lot. While people say it's a love song, it isn't too much. It has links of their love lives and their family. "Written in these walls are the stories that I can't explain" About the rumors Harry has been linked to. "Leave my heart open but it stays right here empty for days" how he hasn't found the right girl "She told me in the morning she don't feel the same about us in her bones" about Liam's relationship with Danielle. "And I'll be gone, gone tonight" leaving Perrie and his family. "The way that I've been holding on too tight with nothing in between" Not wanting to leave or let them go. The chorus is about enjoying the memories and how 'time is frozen'. I like the second part of it. "Story of my life, i give her hope. I spend her love until she's broke inside" this part gets me every time. "Leave my heart open but it stays right here in it's cage" how Niall hasn't found a girl and how he's been single. "Although I am broken, my heart is untamed still" how he misses everyone (especially Danielle [payzer forever]) "and I'll be gone, gone tonight" again, about leaving everyone. Including Eleanor. "and I've been waiting for this time to come around" about his proposal to Perrie. "running after you is like chasing the clouds" it's so hard to see everyone. This song is beautiful, a really emotional track. |
