And this person has been on the rock for longer than 3 years and is a lunatic to think this girl would ever consider him in any shape or form again. The romance has been over for years but she always promised she'd be there for him no matter what, even though he treated her horribly. The problem is that she always puts others feelings before her own and ends up getting shit on. 3 years ago the only reason she still talked to him was because she was afraid he was suicidal and couldn't live without her. That's the truth. She didn't think he'd be okay. But recently she turned to him in a time of despair and need. Just like she turned to him almost a decade ago. This time is was mostly from medication. Her neurochemistry was out of whack and she was actually going to kill herself and researched ways to do it. Medication can actually make you suicudal. Not the suicudal thoughts we've all felt but don't really mean when we're down. She couldn't control her thoughts and told this person she thought she could count on. Said I think I'm really going to and they never responded. Hates a very strong word but even though she made that sentimented promise she rescinds it. She no longer feels obligated or sorry for him. He is a classic narcissist and never gave a shit about her. He just wanted adoration and to fill up his narcosstic supply. He's not capable of love. He just wants control and someone to shit on which was me. She thinks he's an aweful human being and prays for his soul. There's no love for them even as a friend. And they can go duck themselves and fall into a revene if they think otherwise. |

There's always two ways of looking at things and our perception is our reality. Sounds like M was maybe a spoiled brat and use to getting what she wanted. She endured a lot probably more than most will ever. However, she was probably pampered and lived mostly a charmed life. You see M is a hard worker and puts a hundred percent into whatever she does but she's also a queen and expected to be treated as such. The classic narcissist. Narcissus was incapable of love. The only love he felt was the reflection of himself. He probably never shed a tear over any relationship and if he did it was for himself not the person he hurt. You see we all have an ego but are superego is a projection of what we want to see and not who we really are. It's the image we portray to everyone. Most narcissists are very fragile and lack self esteem. They put on a good show. Narcissism runs rampant in families and is usually taught and passed down from one generation to the next. I experienced an N. Their bodyguard/parent was right next to them and clearly never taught them how to treat someone. The N loved to boast about himself but had no self awareness and didn't realize how rude it was to not ask the other person about themselves. Again this is learned behavior. This can ring true to many people. The other person usually tries to fix the other person. They could spend a lifetime doing so but at some point they realize they need to live for themselves and be happy. This is when long time marriages end in divorce. You see these player types are never satisfied so if they did ever settle down they'd end up resenting the person because they feel they're not enough. So it's pointless to try and love an N because they will never love you. I was going to school to be a clinical therapist but life happened. I'm pretty much good at everything. This is no projection from the writer me of course. There's a difference between being confident/sassy and being arrogant. Everyone should have a little bit of narcissism because it's healthy. |
