The Highs – So Sad, Never Mad Lyrics | 6 years ago |
The lyrics "I'm a flamingo like Featherstone and Nancy" refers to the married couple Donald and Nancy Featherstone. Donald Featherstone is credited with the invention of those ubiquitous pink flamingo lawn ornaments. Similarly, "cut a wide swath of the same cloth" could refer in this context to the fact that Donald and Nancy Featherstone are famous for dressing alike for over three decades of their marriage. LyricFind seems to have replaced my lyrics. Not a huge deal, but annoying because they took out a few words and messed up the punctuation. Here is what I originally posted: I wish you... I wish you would see what I see I wish you... I wish you would see what I see Lead a, lead a light of thee You used to, used to see How now you only, only need To blow them out Yesterday was your birthday Happy birthday 200 candles A liar, a scandal A fire through the roof When I called you Were you there, were you there? Were you ever alive? I wish I would see what you see Wish I would see what you see Lead a, lead a light of thee You used to, used to see How now you only, only need To blow them out Lead a, lead a light of thee You used to, used to see How now you only, only need To blow them out Lead a, lead a light of thee You used to, used to see How now you only, only need To blow them out Silly, silly, silly me I used to, used to see How now our only, only light Is blowing out |

Fear of Men – Atla Lyrics | 9 years ago |
The lyrics here before were for the song "Alta," not "Atla." (both are on the same album) I've moved them to a new song entry called "Alta." |
Grimes – Visiting Statue Lyrics | 9 years ago |
The correct lyrics are as follows: So, so, so, so, bring it all back I wish I could see that I was scared Bring it all home, bring it all home, bring it all Oh, oh, I'm a ghost, ghost |

James Vincent McMorrow – Gold Lyrics | 9 years ago |
I think this is more accurate. [Verse 1:] How was the gold Along the path I determined to hold Although it coiled round a perilous wing Blinded with hot gas and carving off steam There was still smoke Burnt in the grass Reclaim a portion of desolate south Add in the stirrings and long lost fatigue Barrels that hide us in hair fallen heed Then became sound [Chorus:] And I wasn't afforded a love Covered up in hard earned clay I wasn't accorded a stop Always in it so much more I wasn't afforded a love Covered up in hard earned clay And time wasn't the only cavernous [Verse 2:] I hope my contour charts show up via river Out to the only ocean There's something peaceful that goes out via river Out to the ocean I was peaceful standing, I was open [Chorus:] And I wasn't afforded a love Covered up in hard earned clay I wasn't accorded a stop Always in it so much more I wasn't afforded a love Covered up in hard earned clay Time wasn't the only cavernous Time wasn't the only cavernous Time wasn't the only cavernous Time wasn't the only coward via AZLyrics.com |
