Hole – Drag Lyrics

This isn't one of their better songs, lyrically, but it's otherwise a great song. Super catchy. |

Cat Power – Good Clean Fun Lyrics

I can't believe there aren't more comments on this song! It's so...eerie. And dark! Like much of Cat Power's music. I could listen to this over and over! |

Hole – Garbage Man Lyrics

@[courtneylove4:233] The person who says that this is about how Courtney almost got raped while leaving the strip club must be referring to "Retard Girl," not this song...I too have figured that this song is about her issues with her parents. |

Tiffany – Danny Lyrics

This song deserves more recognition! It's one of the best songs from the 80s, in my opinion. And no, I don't think that that's far-fetched. |

The Go-Gos – Automatic Lyrics

Yeah, I've read that Jane (who wrote the lyrics to this song) said that it's about emotionless sexuality. "It's all automatic" |

Silverchair – Pop Song For Us Rejects Lyrics
| 10 years ago

"Pop Song For Us Rejects" - I love how sarcastic that sounds...This does have a Poppish sound to it, though, certain guitar parts of it. Around the time that this record released, Daniel said that this song was about drug addiction (I think it's pretty obvious, anyway - Look at those lyrics) |

Nick Drake – River Man Lyrics

This song is MESMERIZING. I'm listening to it as I type this, and wow, I've been loving it lately. As for the meaning...I think it must mean something pretty deep, obviously. Not sure what, though. |

Silverchair – Learn To Hate Lyrics

"Hating you should be introduced as a new law" would have to be among the most clever lyrics Daniel ever wrote. This song is so thrashy and angry. Pretty awesome! |

Silverchair – Petrol & Chlorine Lyrics

I've been listening to this song a lot lately. I love this band so much that it's really hard to tell what my top songs are from them because between the first three albums, they were all very good. Either way, this is one of their most impressive songs. Very deep. Especially considering their age when this went out. |

Always thought that this song made fun of Christianity. I say this as a Christian, this is in my top Hole songs ever! |

Nirvana – Blew Lyrics

Such a heavy song. Like much of the album...I love this bass in this :D |

Silverchair – Petrol & Chlorine Lyrics

This song's tone is so sad. This song and "Cemetery" are the "vulnerable" songs off of this album...I love the Native American-sounding instruments in this. |

Silverchair – Paint Pastel Princess Lyrics

I didn't find much special about this song when I first heard it, but after a few listens, I adored it. As for the meaning, as some others have said, it's about Daniel's experiences with prescription drugs. Arguably the best song on this album, if you ask me. |

Silverchair – Shade Lyrics

Pretty obvious. It's about victims. Of abuse. Telling them not to keep it to themselves. To get help. I love this song <3 |

Katastrophy Wife – Pretty Car Lyrics

Hmm, I had my own interpretation of this song being about a rich person taking advantage of their money, buying their "pretty car," causing trouble. I must say that sevenpeefive's interpretation isn't bad, though. |

Silverchair – No Association Lyrics
|
Now that I give it more thought, I think that this song is more-so about the people who bullied Daniel after the band got famous. "You've never wanted to know me before" - The people who beat him up and tormented him didn't care about him beforehand, but after they got famous, they were angry and cruel with him. |

Alice in Chains – Angry Chair Lyrics

Now that I think about it, I do think that this song's about drug addiction - I know every song by them is filled with comments about how "Oh, this is about drugs," but I really do think that that's what this song's about. That whole time-out thing really doesn't add up to me. I mean, just look up the meaning of pink cloud and it should be obvious. |

The Doors – Alabama Song (Whisky Bar) Lyrics

Really cool of this to have been turned into a song. I mean, these lyrics remind you of something Jim would write, anyway. Very awesome song. One of their best! About drinking, I take it? |

Wipers – Doom Town Lyrics

I agree with the other comment. This song seems to be about feeling as the title suggests, doomed about where you're going in life, and living paycheck to paycheck, having to scrape. Cool song! |

L7 – Diet Pill Lyrics

Guys, this song's about prescription drug abuse/addiction. Makes sense, if you think about it. |

Silverchair – No Association Lyrics

One of the greatest songs from this record! I could be wrong, but just from looking at the title, I got the feeling that it was basically them flipping off the whole idea that they were copying some of the Seattle bands. Like, they had no association with them. |

Silverchair – Freak Lyrics
|
This really doesn't have anything to do with what the song's about, but I've heard that this is one of the few songs from the Frogstomp/Freak Show era that they'd play in more recent years...I think it's a shame that they changed so much. I'm not trying to say that they should've stayed 17, or whatever. I'm just saying that I think that they should've stayed Grungy. Nice song, though. |

Silverchair – Spawn Again Lyrics

God, I love this song. It's gotta be the hardest song on this album. Must be why I consider it to be the best track...
As others have said, this song has to do with Vegetarianism. Or at least that's what I've heard.. |

Silverchair – Acid Rain Lyrics

Someone seriously said this song sucks?! I really dig it. Could've, maybe even should've been on Frogstomp. |

The Go-Gos – Girl Of 100 Lists Lyrics

Jane's such a good lyricist. This is my favorite song from this album. It's too bad that they barely play the songs from this record anymore...
As for the meaning, I take it as a girl who's known for many things. Her 100 lists, in other words :D |

Silverchair – Faultline Lyrics

This might just be my favorite song off of Frogstomp. Maybe even my favorite Silverchair song, in general. I've loved it ever since I first heard it. Anyway, I've read that it's about a friend of Daniel's who died in an Earthquake. If that's true, then that makes this a pretty sad song. A really good one, though. |

Babes in Toyland – Laugh My Head Off Lyrics
| 10 years ago

One of their best songs! Easily the best track off of To Mother. Umm, as for the meaning, I've always taken it as a song from the point of view of someone hating someone else. I'm not really sure how to articulate, but it's clearly got a hateful tone. |
