I think it's about a guy kicking himself for being the cause of a painful heartbreak I get the feeling he felt the relationship was perfect and got caught up in something he himself only gained anything from, gambling, cheating, addiction...etc after realizing he sabotaged his true love and carelessly lost the one chance he had to share a life together, he know feels anything in the days to come is hopeless because he had her!, everything he ever dreamed of! He had it right there , hand in hand and he let it all slip away over something meaningless that meant nothing to him |

I dont really think dave mustaine being the founder of the challenging and so very rhythmic "spider chord" and not to mention his incredible and very distinct poetic vocal power would write a song about a memorable sky diving experience. I could very well be wrong on this too but I am thinking its about the feeling and addiction to crystal meth. first off another slang word used for meth is "dirt". which would fit the title perfectly with the words "high speed"" in front of it also these lines seem to stick out..."exhilarating high"....."energy of the gods, adrenaline surge"......"loosing all my weight"..."fire in my veins"...and just so you know... dave has written lyrics to other songs about this substance struggle as well....look up the lyrics to "burnt ice"....lyrics are just like the music....it is what you make off it....thats the beauty of it all |
