@[Bajinganlangit:48081] It seems to me that its more specifically about thinking outside the box and breaking away from the ways we've been programmed to think and what we've been led to believe. |

@[gtash:15432] This comment deserves WAY more thumbs up because your explination of the water's eternal nature juxtiposed to our short time here,is the KEY to understanding the song as a whole. And without getting too technical and verbose. WELL DONE!!! |

@[YaddaMinski:14233] I think this line is about prostitution. One of the PR's is writing back home telling them how great everything is, (but it's really not), so they lie and make up stories about how they're really making their money. |

Well, I tried using an online translator to try and figure out what "jai tant reve do toi" means and the best i can figure is something like so many dreams I've shared with you.
I think the theme of the song is the question, "were things really that good back then or does the passing of time somehow make it seem so?" like wine getting sweeter with age.maybe things haven't been that great lately and the singer has been reminiscing about the good old days. |

I think it relates to her own way of thinking when she headed out on her own to see the country "why leave the tellin' up to someone else"(lyrics from another of her songs) and I thought the lyrics were "she was ready for the LONELY-she was in it for it only" she was going off to do her own thing for a while no relationships, and it rymes better too... |

or is it that women just can't get used to being the weaker one? not that they are, they just feel that way so they over compensate by taking feminism over the top. instaed of up with women, they say down with men (you know it's true so keep your cursor away from the minus symbol!) |

I always thought she was comparing the way crocs lie in wait for unsuspecting zebras to cross the river,to how some women lie in wait for unsuspecting naive men to wonder into their trap. she marries him, takes out insurance policy and kills him. "she's got a little fund to fight for moneypenny's rights"she can take the blood money as a way of coping for not getting the guy/'s she really wants |

Also, I think she is considering abortion because she doesn't want her man to find out she was raped for fear he will blame her and leave her. |

I think it's about a woman who was raped and she doesn't know if the father is her man or the man who raped her. I think the line where she refrences ann boylen "he did it right quickly,a murciful man" is comparing Henry the 8th's hiring an expert swordsman to behead her so it was done quickly with little or no pain, to how long it took the rapist to finish raping her. kind of a sarcastic shot at the rapist for his lack of endurance. I think"big bird on a fishing line"and "favorite hooker in whole bunch" relates to abortion (removing the fetus)but that might be a stretch... |
