Blaze Foley – Clay Pigeons Lyrics 3 years ago
Yes, a beautifully honest self revelatory song about a "new" beginning, living in the moment. a surrender to one's own nature. Myself. as a pretty much life time "new ager" {see comment] am especially grateful for the the line "I'm tired of running around looking for answers to questions that I already know." Hopefully all of us reach this place, where the answers are about love and connection beyond the mind's life time attempts with words. Thank you Blaze Foley and John Prine.

Howard Jones – No One Is To Blame Lyrics 9 years ago
Have to leave one more comment. The biggest reason there remains so much hatred, cruelty and killing in the world, is peoples' grievances. We all come from a love deficit and have been traumatized in various ways, some terribly. It is a given. How we respond to our grievances shape the kind of world we live in. January of 2015, this is clear as ever. The key to possible peace on this planet is recognizing this and that "No One is to Blame."

Howard Jones – No One Is To Blame Lyrics 9 years ago
An incredibly spiritual song. We can never quite satisfy in life. With things, for sure. They ultimately don't satisfy and are an empty bowl. And relationships, even though I want her and she wants me, we can never really completely assuage our sense of separation. The recurring theme in relationship counseling....BLAME. We come from unity and long for it all our life. "We want everyone." And the great spiritual teaching....hold no grievance. It is the way life is. We are all innocent. "No One is to Blame."
An anthem for love and understanding in this world. We can only wish.

Family of the Year – Hero Lyrics 10 years ago
Like good poetry, I think the song can strongly call up a message for the individual. To me it is a fellow in a relationship with a women who he feels is asking too much of him. He needs freedom to fly, to go engage in the world. He could be in the relationship if it is kept light, but not be her rescuer, not be the vital piece of her masquerade.
So happens this is what is happening in my life right now. Haha.

Fleetwood Mac – Songbird Lyrics 12 years ago
Christine Mcvie here is plugged into the timelessness and all encompassing presence of love that we are. At those moments, it doesn't even matter about the future [of the relationship that triggers this feeling] because the love in the present moment fills all the space.
And the line "I wish you all the love in the world, but most of all, I wish it for myself" is such an honest poignant call to the truth of outward love and our own wishes for ourself to just BE such love.
As beautiful and touching as any song ever written.
