Savage Garden – To The Moon And Back Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Your interpretation is also my interpretation. Word for word! The song also reminds me of a person I once loved deeply and whom I still care a lot for, and the feeling was mutual but she didn't know how to handle these feelings in a proper way. All the best to you CMAN123! |

I think it is pretty obvious. She sees her friends as traitors, cos they don't/can understand how she truly feels/is. She (explicitly but unwillingly) blames them for everything which goes wrong, which are 'crimes that' in her eyes 'were never defined' |
Carly Simon – Nobody Does It Better Lyrics | 12 years ago |
This is the Title song for "The Spy who Loved me" It's a woman (perhaps the character -Triple XXX- in the movie) singing about James Bond how stunning and fantastic he is. ***Nobody does it better*** People who claim this song would be about masturbation are definitely on acid... |

@Kitonsmith Life is too short and you only live once! Don't let it slip away by being passive, melancholic and thinking there is nothing you can do about it. Don't keep reflecting about the past and regrets, live in the now and don't keep fooling yourself by saying "if it didn't happen, it wasn't supposed to be". Really, you expect all good comes out of doing nothing and being passive? (Re)Action is most defintely required, and if not now... when? |

Chris Cornell – You Know My Name Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I feel the song is actually a dig at Pierce Brosnan, the previous James Bond before Daniel Craig. "Arm yourself because no one else here will save you The odds will betray you And I will replace you" The song goes about the endless fights between EON Productions, MGM/UA and Brosnan about coming to terms for a new BOND movie, but the part finally goes to Daniel Craig. It's pure Martin Campbell input. Martin Campbell is the director of both GoldenEye and Casino Royale, the first being the initial movie of Brosnan and the latter being the kick starter movie of Craig. In the GoldenEye title song performed by Tina Turner, it was exactly the same thing with the lines like "you don't know how it feel to come so close and be denied" (ie 1986), "I watched you in the shadows as a child" (Brosnan watching Goldfinger with his dad). |

Beautiful analysis Sofke, that's also how I interpret the song. Correction: I sincerely hope that the song's meaning is just like you said... ; ; |
