Einstürzende Neubauten – Yü-Gung (Fütter mein Ego) Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Actually it's crystal meth... The sound you hear at the very beginning of the song is meth being cut on a mirror, using a razor blade ;) |
Dizzy Mizz Lizzy – Silverflame Lyrics | 13 years ago |
First of all, let's shed some light into what a "silver flame" actually is. "Silver Flame" is slang for the tubes of tin foil you use to smoke heroin with. Keeping this in mind, let's see how the lyrics could could be interpreted: "Say my name silverflame take control Of my heart of my mind and my soul What a shame silverflame that you can't burn forever" This part refers to the substance taking over the mind/body/soul of the user and them wishing to stay high forever. "Girl in a glassbox dressed in white" Personification of the drug itself maybe? Could be... The repeating word "sorrow" in the first stanza of the song, links back to the sensations (down) had by any drug user when they're off the substance/not high. "sorrow needs a helping hand": thought of relief through "burning the silver flame"/getting over that down by using more. This is my own interpretation of the lyrics. I might be wrong about the guiding theme, but I'm pretty sure I'm not. ;) |
