Hi all, I just created an account to specifically comment on this song. I agree with cchamberlain that this has to do with alcohol, but it think here is more to it. I think the premise revolves around losing a girl in a relationship to someone else and drowning it away with alcohol/drugs. Someone sang your name today/and a stranger saw me crumble ---Narrator hears someone talking about lost love and breaks down (crumbles) in from of people. Hold my broken heart and shell away/begging "bury me beside you" ---I think the lyric is "Haul my...", but this is where hes internally begging the lost love to take away this main and grow old and die with him. The devil popped around today/selling promises and potions ---pressure to drink and or do drugs to "feel better" that could take our memory away/help forget I'd ever met you ---classic drinking your problems away mentality Tell me... can you please take away the misery?
