Emilie Autumn – Thank God I'm Pretty Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I also think that it is a bit of a commentary on our society. Something that is seen a lot right now in the media: movies, books, songs,... is this average girl trope who can't get the love of her life because some skank stole him away. There is this tendency to hate beautiful women and decide that because they look a certain way they are whores. The awful part is that women are pushed to wear make-up, diet, etc to make themselves look like society's version of pretty and then they find the few that actually manage it and degrade them for it. |
Xandria – Back To The River Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Here are the full lyrics I can recall my name - but I was not the same I feared I'd gone astray - I've almost gone insane Sometimes I still can hear - echoes of silent fears But on that winter's day - you swept them all away These were the times when I longed for the river And I closed my eyes and you laid your hands down on me Not just a burning sin - a candle in the wind It was so much more - I want to thank you for These were the times when I longed for the river And I closed my eyes and you laid your hands down on me I can see you, still my friend Still so deep inside of me These were the times These were the times when I longed for the river And I closed my eyes and you laid your hands down on me You filled my void, you let me fly You broke my chains, you showed me life You set me up, you made me true I was back at the river with you |
Xandria – Answer Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I am fairly certain that these are the real lyrics. I had a difficult time trying to find/ figure out the very last few lines and this is as close as I could come up with. We fought the truth As long as we lived our love Fearing all the solutions we found We drowned ourselves In the lake of tears that we cried 'Til we found out that love is its ground Call me a fool, but I'm not Our love changed - and love changed me I kept waiting for your answer Then I found out the answer was you No more riddles of my longings Now I know that the answer is you I want to thank you, my creator I still wouldn't live my life without you Call me a fool, but I'm not Our love changed - and love changed me I kept waiting for your answer The I found out the answer was you No more riddles of my longings Now I Know that the answer is you Call me a fool, but I'm not Our love changed me- love changed both of us I kept waiting for your answer Then I found out the answer was you No more riddles of my longings Now I know that the answer is you No more waiting for your answer No more hoping I'm still forever yours No more running No more fighting No more hoping I'm still forever yours |
Lacuna Coil – Stars (Dubstar cover) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
whenever i listen to the stars going out, all i can imagine is sitting out in a field and watching as the stars disappear one by one from view, as though they were extinguished by some unseen hand and eventually all there is left is a black canvas of sky, a blank void |
Xandria – My Scarlet Name Lyrics | 13 years ago |
This song is like a someone trying to make a stalker go away. |
Xandria – Like A Rose On The Grave Of Love Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I feel like this is a typical xandria "man hating" (as my friend labels it) song where a girl is in love with someone and the love seems like a beautiful thing (ex rose) but it's the death of independent and in general life (grave). |
Xandria – Black and Silver Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I think that this is sort of a similar to the song emotional man where she is condescending towards men who love her for her fame and considers them lower or less than her because desire her without knowing who she is. They are intrigued by her "silver" fame (like a crow attracted to sparkles) but they don't even know her well enough to consider that she is a different person than the famous person/icon. |
