This song is something quite hopeful for me. I think it is about someone who is depressed, lonely, what have you. They are lost. Maybe in a relationship or maybe just in life. They keep on trying to go find things that will fill this huge void in their life, but keep coming back confused as just as empty as before. I think the middle is that point in your life when you hit rock bottom. You try to figure out where you went wrong. You just want to smile and laugh again; and for once in a long long while, don't want to have to fake it. The end is clarity. That moment where you find exactly what you are looking for. It could be from a relationship, God, or, the majority of the time it happens this way for me, it's in a song. |
