Sting – Lithium Sunset Lyrics

We all have ups and downs. Bipolar is a somewhat subjective diagnosis. Anyway, if he isn't diagnosed as such, the song definitely is about someone who is. Lithium maybe a colour but is also the main prescribed mood stabilizer. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he was. Anyway, very talented and good looking guy in his prime. He has every right to feel chuffed with himself! Beautiful song - just discovered it! |

The Chameleons – Swamp Thing Lyrics

I can't believe TheMistress didn't like the beginning to this song. It's absolutely awesome. I agree, the singer is really wired, and needs a break. One of my favourite Chameleons songs, never tire of spiining it. |

David Byrne knew that you had to start an album with a killer track. Love this! What about the opener to More Songs......?
David Byrne was naturally high as a kite in these heady early days, and the songs reflect that.
What a great guy!! |

Culture Club – Karma Chameleon Lyrics

|
"The song is about the terrible fear of alienation that people have, the fear of standing up for one thing. It's about trying to suck up to everybody. Basically, if you aren't true, if you don't act like you feel, then you get Karma-justice, that's nature's way of paying you back."

James – Come Home Lyrics

Many of James' songs include themes of 'madness', especially mood swings. But also, it's about a guy who can't resist the temptation of lust, and feels guilty about that. Songs don't have to be just about that. They are often a mish mash. Especially when the writer is as as good as TB. |

David Bowie – Moss Garden Lyrics

The album Heroes came out in 1977. In the UK, when punk was alt its height.. When everyone else was raging about anarchy, Bowie was twanging about his back garden. Just to be different, like. |

The emotions are all there in the song. One of the greatest songs I have ever heard. To say anything else would be superfluous. |
