Is this song inspired by a real rock star or is the character in this song fictional?
I read this from wikipedia:
This song has been related to many rock stars who have also died of drug overdoses. Bad Company lead singer, Paul Rodgers, has said the song is a warning to people in the music industry and has referenced Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix in interviews when asked about the song.

Paul Dianno is in my opinion very underrated. But i don't think Iron Maiden whould have gotten so big without Bruce Dickinson. Phantom Of The Opera is my favorite Iron Maiden song after Rime Of The Ancient Mariner. |

In my opinion this this song is kinda overrated and underrated at the same time. Coz UFO has done so many songs that are better than this one. But many people today have never even heard of UFO, and if you ask them if they know a song by UFO they will either say no or Doctor Doctor, which is kinda annoying. |
