Obviously about Chi. Love the song. The most beautiful song ever done for a brother/friend. How emotional the song really does sound is what makes this band superior to all other bands. They can grab you in a song and shake you into feeling just like they do when writing the song and Chino sings as though he is slapping you into feeling everything he feels, whether happy, sad, longing, frustrated. This band is perfect. |

If you have ever done acid you would know this is a trip he probably had while on mushrooms or acid. He always talks about mushrooms and acid. Obviously he is doing a psych-trip drug with the girl of his choice and watching how she handles it. I like the feeling this song gives me and if I were to trip to this song I would love it. I just might soon...:) |

Sounds to me like he meets the girl of his dreams, but when they are together, they are just unhealthy for eachother. They do crazy things together trying to get the MOST out of life. (...try to drain the knife, empty). When they are together they expect to go crazy (expect to see red). And they get lost in doing these things. (tangled in the ways)(No one else has a hold on me, like you do). But he doesn't care how unhealthy it is because he really likes this girl, he's interested in finding out more about her. (I hope to discover all of your ways). And next to her in bed is where he wants to spend his life (this place is death) where he wants to die. What I got from it. Doesn't mean I'm right just a cool way to think about it for others. |

In the fist verse he talking about how a girl is very sexually attractive, but she is fake. She is not being herself, she's being a clone of herself that she made. All Chino wants is this girl for her clone. But is trying to see if it's really her he likes or if it's her clone. They have obviously been together for a little while because she "slowly enter, because you know my room". I think she knows that he might be on to her, so she tries being more sexy by crawling towards him sexually before "shaking his tomb" or his bed, where he rests. "I want to watch the rain, " I believe means he wants to watch her to see if she's just spring rain or a storm. He says he's starting to like her so he wants to watch her close, he needs to see for sure who is under her exterior (tape). "I need to see for sure" then the girl says "Who do you need to see?" and he says "Under the tape is who". You know. Then he says "Who do you think we could show?" saying like is there anyone you have to be yourself around, possibly meeting her family or something. That is what I am gathering from it. The title itself is "You've seen the Butcher" almost like this girl has seen a plastic surgeon for fake breasts and some botox or something. You know. I love the song. |
