Oasis – Wonderwall Lyrics 13 years ago
To me, this song is about two people who used to have feelings for each other, but they've grown apart - "...the fire in your heart is out." The other person has started to see other people, but the speaker says "I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now." Maybe the speaker feels that no one else will ever really know his/her ex quite like they knew them. There are still feelings there and I think the speaker has a hope that maybe things will work out better later on down the road. "Because maybe you're gonna be the one that saves me." The speaker's just not sure how to discuss that sort of thing, perhaps? "There are many things that I would like to say to you, but I don't know how." I think it can also be about life in general and making mistakes in all aspects of living - "And all the roads we have to walk are winding, and all the lights that lead us there are blinding."
Anyway you look at it, it's a fantastic song that can apply to just about everyone. And, unlike some people, I think application is an essential part of lyrics. At least from an audience standpoint. I'm not saying that all songs need to apply to everyone, but just because a song does, it does not make it a "lesser" song.
Question though: what exactly does he mean by "wonderwall"?

Noah and the Whale – 2 Atoms in a Molecule Lyrics 14 years ago
isn't it "and for that i'd say it's worth it, just use a blade that's short and sharp on me"? haha at least that's what i thought it was. this is such, such, such a good song! obvioiusly it's about someone being unlucky in love, but they still have hope that one day it will work out. and i think we can all kind of relate to that.
