Voxtrot – Sway Lyrics | 9 years ago |
Just a note - a few lines have been lifted from Yeats' 'Coming of Wisdom with Time', which might also enlighten as to what is spoken of here. Though leaves are many, the root is one; Through all the lying days of my youth I swayed my leaves and flowers in the sun; Now I may wither into the truth. |

These lyrics are even more haunting now that he has passed. Have a peaceful rest. |
Gregor Samsa – Jeroen Van Aken Lyrics | 12 years ago |
"Loved ones come and go but we won't break Dollars come and go but we won't break The Sun will come and go but we won't break Children come and go but we won't break The ocean will come and go but we won't break Pain will come and go but we won't break All things come and go, but we won't, no we won't break Governments come and go but we won't break Churches will come and go but we won't break Bodies will come and go but we won't break Rings will come and go but we won't break Wars will come and go but we won't break Rain will come and go but we won't break All things come and go, but we won't, no we won't break" Not too sure about "rings" |

Waxwing – Starfish Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Sounds like he sings "I can't relay" or "I can't relate" after "Shrouded in mystery and misery". |
Yeasayer – 2080 Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I was really hoping the lyrics would go "It's a New Year, and it left me here". Oh well. |
Jawbreaker – P.S. New York Is Burning Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Wonder why it reeks of incest... |

Underoath – Who Will Guard the Guardians? Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I think this song is about how we have given control of our lives to people who are only out for their own interests. To corporations, politicians, men in suits who only care about increasing the money inside their own pockets. At least that is what I read into it. I know many who believe in the Christian message the band has spread thus far will hate me for saying this but I think it's awesome to see the band moving toward a realistic direction, not focusing on the illusion of God being able to change our lives but instead realizing how bad of a state we're in as a species and calling for a change. |
Underoath – In Division Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Thanks man. I copied the lyrics off a Youtube version of this song and didn't pay any attention to the mistakes on there. Your's seems to be dialed The only thing I'm not sure of, are these lines. They search for the answers 'cause this is the end, They search for the answers. The second line is definitely "I search for the answers" but the preceding line sounds like it could go either way "I/They search for the answers 'cause this is the end" Flipwhiptofuf huh? Do you ride bikes? |
A Silver Mt. Zion – There's a River in the Valley Made of Melting Snow Lyrics | 13 years ago |
This is the most beautiful song ever written...I can hardly believe that someone has managed to write and perform this in a way that can nurture a broken heart...but someone has |
A Silver Mt. Zion – The Triumph of Our Tired Eyes Lyrics | 13 years ago |
"When we finally cross the barricades w With the angels on our side When we finally deny all the popular lies When we finally let doubt and worry die How will it feel?" |
The Rural Alberta Advantage – Frank, AB Lyrics | 13 years ago |
The vocals are so emotive and melancholic that there's this force that is capable of taking you somewhere else if you let it. It's sad to think that the people who got caught in the rubble only died because of how they were conditioned to act towards their surroundings. Through telling this tragic tale of the landslide the song actually tells a much deeper story that is extremely relevant to what the whole world is constantly going through. Such a beautiful song. |
