It's pointing to this feeling of wanting the past back, the way things were, and waiting for things to become right again even though they'll never be the same. All the passion you used to have (for someone/something) is gone and you're waiting to get a similar feeling back (waiting for the old burning feeling to return). And there's the feeling of being lost in between a cherished past and a faceless future (These days, you don't know who[/where] you are) imagining things that you have yet to discover (thinking of a place you have never seen before). The mentioning of morning, like "morning light", acknowledges that time goes on and each day is a chance to change your attitudes and the way you live (even when you have no idea how). |
