I don't understand the expression "dreams of visions", maybe the writer is referring to esoteric dreams because you don't have "dreams of visions", you either have one or the other. Secondly, I don't know if the term "mystic crystal revelation" has any connection to the use of the crystal ball and to witchcraft: I certainly hope not. Apart from this the song is a great one in my view. The references to the moon being in the seventh zone and Jupiter lining up with Mars are not astrological references in my view since, even as commentators have noted, the first of these things occurs daily, the other several times a year. In my view this is a reference to ancient history after the flood where the ignoble ancestor, Tammuz, was referred to as the 'moon god'. His father and his brother were the rulers Jupiter (Anu) and Mars (Enlil) respectively. The seventh house is not a reference to the seventh constellation of the zodiac, in my view, but to the house of condemned prisoners in the netherworld which comprised seven chambers separated by seven gates: the underworld into which Ishtar, the wife of the "moon god", descended leading to her, and subsequently to her husband's, confinement there. The song is therefore saying that when Tammuz is in prison and the rulers Anu and Enlil are in agreement then the ordinary people (planets) will find peace and the princes (stars) will be filled with love. This song sounds to me like a beautiful rendition of historical events that actually took place in the Middle East around 2200 BC at the dawn of this present civilization. Roger |
