Health – Tears Lyrics 6 months ago
To me, it's like a message from Michelle to Max.
Telling him to leave the past behind him and let go of the grief.

But just as Ghostiet, said in a comment, it seems Max is battling againt it.

It feels something like this
Michelle: "It's time to let me..." Max: "never let go"

The song really fits the grief-stricken Max.

Mike Oldfield – Nuclear Lyrics 8 months ago
The song is about Oldfield's Grandfather. A WW1 veteran.

"Oldfield wrote this song about his conviction that he is still living with the fallout of his grandfather's traumatic experience in the First World War. "I never knew him," he told the Daily Telegraph, "So I hired a company to find out about him. It turned out he was a great character before the war but came home a very different man. My mum was one of ten or eleven kids and all the children born after the war had problems like hers."

" I wanted to see if I could spread my senses in the place he was," Oldfield continued. "I traveled around Ypres and the battlefield museums and I saw the graves of his regiment: the Royal Munster Fusiliers. And I could feel it. Still there. It's a blessing and a curse for those of us who have this extra sensitivity." "

Keane – This Is the Last Time Lyrics 8 months ago
I remember hearing this song for the first time as a kid in a Dutch soap opera (i think it was early 2004, or something).

In that episode, a guy was attending the funeral of his late second wife (his first wife also died).
Eventually, he went sitting down, with his feet dangling above the casket (it was already lowered into the ground) while he was crying immensely.

For some reason, this had a huge impact on me.
I never knew the title or the artist), and i couldn't find the song anywhere.
Years later I stumbled upon this amazing song and recognized immediately!

Disturbed – Uninvited Guest Lyrics 2 years ago
To me, it sounds like a sickness (or the memory/remembrance of a sickness that won\'t go away).\n\nI\'ve never heard this song before in my life, but it\'s got recommended to me when I was listening to \'the sound of silence\' today. \n\nbut personally, for me, it\'s a remembrance of cancer.\nI got diagnosed with a certain type of cancer about 5 years ago.\nEven though I\'m considered clean, the fear of a certain return and the scar it left (physical and emotional) feels like an uninvited guest which I can\'t seem to get rid of.

Billie Eilish – No Time To Die Lyrics 4 years ago
"Fool me once, fools me twice. Are you death or paradise?"

For me it actually looks like a person who could change your entire life.
Like some kind of a crossroad on which can you stumble upon.

Either you head to paradise (the good person) and think you'll live happily everafter without any concern.
Or you're heading towards 'death' (the lesser person, which also makes you feels good, but you're not sure about ), a life that's going down hill and end upon a miserable life you not intended to take, but was led to due to choices you've took which you thought were right

"But you'll always be my hero
Even though you've lost your mind"

For some very odd reason these two lines hit me like a ton of bricks.
Even though that person lost himself and has changed overtime, his partner will always admire him for whom he was in the past.

An admireable quality to have

i've been recently been diagnosed with skin cancer.
This reaction summaries how i'm feeling lately. Although my doctor told me i had an 95 -98% of survival.

It made me realise that i'm only a human like everybody else.

Coldplay – Something Just Like This Lyrics 7 years ago
For me, it's a song about 'Avarage Joe'.
A simple man who just wants the simple things in life and doesn't feel the need of being a super hero.

However, he get the feeling of being a super hero when he get's "something like this", the life he always dreamt about.
And risking it all to get that life (A signifigant other, house, kids. Al those sort of things.)

@[singsong42:18241] Man... The way you've described it....
Isn't everybody's life like this?
Everyone eventually make choices he/she regrets. Even after years of trying forgetting them. It still haunts them.

Sometimes it's hard to find peace that way.
Even though you beat yearself up somestimes. You'll still need to try

God... The way you wrote is. It seemd so familiar.
Thinking about it all, I realised that it's actually how my life feels at this moment.
I've in in the dark for quiet some time (no suicidal thoughts or anyrhing, luckily)

I bursted out in tears after the realization.

Or the sudden loss of someone you know

Passenger – The Wrong Direction Lyrics 9 years ago
@[TheTallestFan:2984] I think so too.

In brief, I think this is the story:

"The first cut is the deepest but the rest still flipping hurt".
- The guy was in a relationshhip with a girl and she, at a point, backstabbed him (or said some terrible things.)

"You build your heart of plastic. Get cynical and sarcastic. And end up in the corner on your own"
- Eventually he became emotionally distant in their relationship and they broke up

"I hide behind my jokes as a form of protection, I thought I was close but under further inspection. It seems I've been running in the wrong direction oh no"
- He uses this jokes to deflect the flirtation of women after they broke up but realises this isn't the way he should respond to it.

"When you're coked up
And can't remember the reason why you broke up
You call her in the morning
When you're coming down and falling like an old man on the side of the road"
- He chokes up every time he thinks about the break up, eventually calls her, but fails in the attempt to fix things.

"There's fish in the sea for me to make a selection
I'd jump in if it wasn't for my ear infection"
- He using excuses so he doesn't need to find a new girl. (i think because he's still recovering from the break up)

(pretty much my love life :) )

Milky Chance – Stolen Dance Lyrics 9 years ago
This song reminds me a lot of my ex-girlfriend (my only girlfriend)

"They’ve always been so kind
But now they’ve brought you away from here
I hope they didn’t get your mind
Your heart is too strong anyway
We need to fetch back the time
They have stolen from us"

The people at her job always seems like nice people to me, until they brainwashed my girlfriend against me and my family and told her she should move out.
Eventually she did. She told and left within two hours.

I wish i could turn back (fetch back) the time give what she actually deserved

"Coldest winter for me
No sun is shining anymore
The only thing I feel is pain
Caused by absence of you
Suspense is controlling my mind
I cannot find the way out of here
I want you by my side
So that I never feel alone again"

Pretty much explains itself

It's been 5 months now, still can't let it go...

Seether – Got It Made Lyrics 15 years ago
i think it's about Shaun's family.
He once ran away from his family to start in the music buisness.

Some thoughts about the lyrics:

'Cause I've Wasted All I've Known
To Watch it Fade and Slip Away
Now, From my Hands
(he wasted all the people who loved hem when i ran away from home
He slowly saw what happend when he ran away)

And what I have, I have in Mind
And I think About You All the Time
( his family is still in his mind, even when he left his home)

I'm Feeling Miles Away
You think I've Got it Made
(he feels he's miles away from his family who loves his while they think that shaun has made his way in the music buisness.)

Never Run Away, Son
( a quote from his father?
Or a warning to never run away from home because you will leave people behind who love you)

This is what i think it means, but i could be wrong :-)
