Andrew Belle – Open Your Eyes Lyrics 12 years ago
This feels like a guy who is in love with a dysfunctional girl. He's willing to just let her be herself, and will be there for her, regardless. But he wants her to open up and let him in.

Andrew Belle – In My Veins Lyrics 12 years ago
I think the song is about a girl basically searching for someone to make her feel better about herself.

"All that you rely on/And all that you can fake/Will leave you in the morning/But find you in the day"
I think this refers to the fact that she is trying to fill the gap inside by finding someone, but when she wakes up in the morning next to someone new, she is still empty.

The section about "Oh you're all I taste/At night inside of my mouth/Oh you run away/Cause I am not what you found" indicates that he had a relationship with her, but she eventually left him, because he wasn't what she needed. He's still pining for her.

The lyric about "People say goodbye/In their own special way" may indicate that she didn't really give him a proper goodbye, that she just left. Also, the fact that he describes it as running away.

The section where he says that "Everything is dark./It's more than you can take./But you catch a glimpse of sun light./Shinin', Shinin' down on your face." makes me picture her as a girl who's kind of messed up, but he's hoping she'll be able to get past it one day.

Andrew Belle – The Daylight Lyrics 12 years ago
This song is sort of a strange mix, a song about a girl he lost, but at the same time uplifting.

"But blessed was the daylight that
Flooded my hearts windows, and
Cleared the smoke that billows out"

I think indicates that he had a sort of realization after they broke up, and is becoming a better person with a more open heart. "Repairing" his heart. Especially considering that he earlier described himself as hopeless and callous, with a dark future.

I love the lyric "Oxygen reminds me I lost her." It makes me think of someone that you absolutely couldn't live without, like oxygen. Every breath reminds him of how much he needs her.

Switchfoot – On Fire Lyrics 15 years ago
I think its about a woman who is falling in love for the first time. She's been told what here life is supposed to be and how she is supposed to feel
(They tell you where you need to go
They tell you when you need to leave
They tell you what you need to know
They tell you who you need to be)

And she's sure that there is more to life than that
(But everything inside you
Knows there's more than what you've heard
There's so much more than empty conversations
Filled with empty words)

And she falls in love for the first time and realized that this is what true love is, and what its life to feel only what you want, not what anyone else wants. Love would be the mystery
(And you're on fire when he's near you
You're on fire when he speaks
You're on fire burning at these mysteries)

And then the next part of the song is from the guy's point of view. He's absolutely in love with her, and he either blew a chance maybe because she wasn't ready or was cared. So he wants one more chance with her.
(Give me one more time around
Give me one more chance to see, yeah
Give me everything you are
Give me one more chance to be near you, yeah)

He sees how different she is from him, and he wants her to be a good influence on him.
(When everything inside me
Looks like everything I hate
You are the hope I have for change
You are the only chance I'll take)

They are very different from each other, and so in that sense they are mysteries, also their love is new, so in that sense it is a mystery, too.
(I'm on fire burning at these mysteries
These mysteries
These mysteries, yeah
You're a mystery, yeah
You're a mystery)

Fisher – Too Late Lyrics 15 years ago
Totally agree with Xireney.

Sounds like a couple where someone followed their dream,
(sewn all my seeds to the wind) (Did I reach for a sky that wasn't my own?)

which wasn't really compatible with a life together, and by the time they realized they wanted a life with that person, it was too late.
(The road that I've traveled is all that I know
-paved with each piece of my soul)

They had already made decisions that led them too far away.
(And it's taken me far - but left you behind
and I'm longing to see you again)

The Fray – Hundred Lyrics 15 years ago
I think its about a pair of friends who have suddenly realized they have feelings for one another

"I'm staring at
What once was the wall
Separating east and west,
Now they meet amidst
The broad daylight."

The wall has disappeared in the sense that the boundary is isn't there anymore, and they realized their feelings. The reference to the suddenness of the wall going down refers to the Berlin Wall.

They haven't admitted it to each other yet, thus the
"Cause we have spoken everything
Everything short of I love you."

Basically they are unsure and waiting to have the situation cleared up. So until then they are
"Somewhere between
Unsure and a hundred."

Other people are giving their opinions about what should be going on
"And who's to say it's wrong
And who's to say that it's not right
Where we should be for now."
