Alanis Morissette – You Oughta Know Lyrics 15 years ago
This song reminds me of a relationship that I had with one of my teachers after graduating high school when I was 18 and he was 40. I was so in love with that man, but he just used me and then went back with his older girlfriend.
This song was good therapy for me back then.

Carly Simon – You're So Vain Lyrics 15 years ago
This song reminds me of my parents....in a good way. They are both deceased now, but my mom used to say that when this song was popular she used to tease my dad that it was about him because he was always looking in the mirror making sure his hair was perfect. Everytime I hear this song now it makes me smile. :)

Moby – South Side Lyrics 15 years ago
I honestly have no clue what the song is about, but damn it is catchy. I find myself playing it over and over again on my Ipod. The version without Gwen Stefani is much better.

George Michael – Freedom! '90 Lyrics 15 years ago
This song makes alot more sense now than it did when I heard it over 15 years ago. It is him coming out, plain and simple. It is just so well written, and even as a straight person, I can really appreciate it. It is very autobiographical if you really listen to it.

The Postal Service – The District Sleeps Alone Tonight Lyrics 15 years ago
This song to me is about an ex that he now sees in a new light and maybe he didn't understand why they split at the time, but after seeing her again he understands why.
I think he's lonely and spending alot of time with alcohol, that's why all the references to it.

The Postal Service – Such Great Heights Lyrics 15 years ago
This is just such a sweet song. This song reminded me so much of my husband and I when we first started dating.
There's just floating on a cloud of love and their relationship has so much potential.

Marvin Gaye – Let's Get It On Lyrics 15 years ago
I'm pulling this out of the back of my brain, but I remember a story about this song that I heard a long time ago.
Marvin Gaye was married to Barry Gordy's (the head of Motown) daughter, but was tired of the relationship and was in love with another woman. This was his "coming out" song about the relationship and the feelings he was having about this woman. Shortly after this, his wife divorced him. His next album, as part of the divorce settlement, he had to give all of it's profits to his ex wife. That album was titled, "Here, my dear."
