I also kinda thought the song had some references to possibly being gay/bi. Yes, I know the song was written by Brian, not Freddie, but that's still what I got out of it. Especially the line "If I take you tonight/ Is it making my life a lie?" , as bezabee pointed out it seems to me like the narrator is questioning his own sexuality.... whether the relationship is wrong for him because he doesn't "go that way". Let me point out that it never specifies that the relationship in the song is between a woman and a man. It could be, for example, that the narrator is getting into a homosexual relationship but is unsure of his real feelings, whether he's just experimenting or in love, or whatever. Or possibly that he's with a female, but has begun to realize that it's wrong for him because he's not into it and doesn't want to be with a woman, and now it's too late to save the relationship. These are, of course, just my thoughts; I could be mistaken and I certainly don't want to offend or upset anyone.

I always thought it would sound slightly incestuous if the girl was the speaker's actual sister. I agree that the girl sounds more like she was a very close friend.
